And our front 3 have been better? Koeman wants to play defensively, and you either need a Vardy type harassing and chasing or you need a focal point to bring others into the game, keep possession and move the team up the field.

If your want to play your way we need a new manager.

It's not surprising we don't gel and lack creativity. This always happen when a team makes wholesale changes. Is it better to bring in just 2-3 players during each window? Right now, I would be happy with playing just Pickford, Keane, and Sandro as starters and giving the others (including Rooney) time to adjust and, quite frankly, prove they deserve to be in the team. Just because players are brought in shouldn't mean they get to start automatically.

For me, the biggest example of this right now is Wayne Rooney. We'd be a lot more balanced if he started on the bench. We seem to be searching for a configuration based around Rooney instead of vice versa. No player, no matter how famous or how strong their reputation, should walk onto the team - especially if he disrupts the overall shape of the team.

It's clear we're going to struggle for the first half of the season, which is understandable. Indeed, Koeman has that reputation; he's a second-half-comes-good manager. I'm with Haf on this, though: Koeman has to prove himself as much as any of the players.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

    He's been average.

I mean how many evertonians are realistically devastated to see him go because of his impact on the games we play? Many will be upset because we're losing a blue, but not because he's a great asset to lose ability wise.

Season after season we hope he will show what he's got in his locker. Manager after manager we hope someone can make him grow into what we hoped.

    You can't have potential forever.

Koeman tried to give him the kick up the arse he needs, if Ross can't handle that we are better off without him

We don't need to be taking punts on players anymore. Leave that to West Ham or someone, and let's go and sign an able-bodied CB.

I feel the same mate, but also Lennon has had a shit time of things recently and deserves whatever he feels is best for him and his future.

I'd be OK sending Ashley Williams back as part of the deal, he's not impressed me so far

I don't get this- we've offered him acontract- he wont sign it. What else can we do? I don't see how the club are to blame for this, he was played week in week out, his home town club, new stadium on the horizon, club buying players and on the up, Rooney back yet he wants a new challenge??

The lad want's to be the main man and he's spat his dummy big time because Koeman hasn't blown smoke up his arse constantly.

For me there's not even an "I'd rather win this way or that way". I just want to win. That's it. End of story.

No, surely if they wanted him to stay they would take him away on the training camp? it does not matter that he is injured he could still integrate himself with in the squad with the new signings whilst regaining his fitness.

No chance- why should he get a place in the side over a player who has comitted to the club and wants to be part of it. If he refuses to sign then he should be sold, if no one wants him he should be put in the rezzies for me.

Rejected as Swansea want £50m, need to move on from this, money is starting to get way beyond what Gylfi is worth

I think the best thing you can do is just to encourage them and NEVER try to live your own sporting misgivings(if you have any) through your children. nothing worse than parents who failed to make the grade themselves and then force their own kids to make up for it when you can clearly see that the kid is not that arsed.

I hope no one minds me changing the name of the thread, but the kid deserves his name to be known. Everything he went through and I don't think he's ever taken that smile of his face. I had a stressful day with paperwork today, then I saw this on the BBC homepage and brought it into perspective. Can't imagine with his parents must be going though right now. Jermaine was brave in front of the cameras yesterday too.

    Rest in peace Bradley x
