Crazy as it sounds? If I was moshiri I'd be working on getting a new manager pipelined.

Koeman has a very Walter Smith feel about him... its like he's here but he's not here.

It's all very part time job shit this.

I'm just not feeling it.... not feeling it at all.

It's great getting in players and moshiri and Walsh are doing big things but ... I'm just not convo fed at all by koeman and his tactics.

Really tired but in a nutshell it's job done. Rozemberok parked the bus for 170 minutes (which they are well within their rights to do) and it obviously made it hard for us to break them down. As it happened we limited them to very little chances over the two legs and got the two goals to see us through, the second coming as soon as they came out of their shells and attacked us. Had they done that from the off then we may well have had the four and five-nil's that everyone was predicting.

We're into the hat for the next round now which takes place tomorrow, hopefully we get an easy tie again so that we can get into the group stage. Things are coming together nicely when you consider that this is still pre-season.

We need players that will run at the opposition with pace. I said nothing about getting in behind.

They need to play narrower? If we played any narrower everyone would be sitting in the centre circle. We have no width to speak of.

Joel deserves credit for popping up with that save and then commanding his box when the pressure was on. It's one of the hardest things as a goalie to stand around for 75 minutes or so without a shot on target and then suddenly be called upon in a 10 minutes flurry. I have so much more faith in him when a looping ball gets lobbed into the box than I do with Stekelenburg, hopefully his consistent performances keep him in the team for the foreseeable future.

That said, it's hard to look past Barkley when discussing yesterday's match. He basically ran the show and put in the kind of performance that you'd want from such a player. It's a touch disappointing that he didn't find the back of the net as he really deserved to be on the score-sheet but I'm sure this good game will drive him on to put in more like-minded performances going forward.

Just leaving the ground. Comfortable in the end and we are looking better with every game. Kone's brace was brilliant and Barkley's free kick was top drawer. No fears about Stoke on Saturday.

Would say Kone but he only played 15 minutes. Gana Gueye was everywhere again - he really is Kante 2.0

To beat a team 3-1 when you're in first gear and still finding match fitness is commendable. We've scored six goals in our first two games of pre-season which isn't too shabby and no go up against some serious competition in the coming weeks.

Gerry and Mirallas have looked the best thus far, especially the Spaniard. I'm really excited to see what he can bring to the table this season.

That miss literally could see him sold. You can't miss them, especially when you've been shite for the past two years.

Very impressed with us today. Our first proper pre-season game and there are a lot of positives to take from it with few negatives.

Didn't see him play, manage or in person but it's obvious just how well thought of he was around the place.

A massive response is needed today - a massive win would be a fitting tribute to a club legend.

If we're all being honest this will be a good move for John.

He will a perfect fit for the Vitesse defence.

Has he pocketed all the money, got us relegated and bought a few houses with the money from selling Goodison Park? No, he's kept the club at the right end of the Premier League and has us on the verge of a new, positive era.
