just because they are free, dont forget they then demand a higher signing on fee. Barton and bothroyd seem to be done deals according to the papers today, it adds to the squad but i would be dissapointed if these were the only signings. i know barton has been a twat, but last season he seems to have turned a corner, maybe finally grown up and we all know moyesy will sort him out once and for all.

i will be gutted if we let him go, but i think it will happen. Follow him on twitter, and he NEVER talks about everton, or wishes them luck (even wishing huddersfield town good luck etc ahead of us!) i can understand why they dont wanna offer him a new contract, but i still think he can be a big impact player off the bench, he has such good finishing ability. couldnt agree more. i cant remember once when he kept the ball or made a decent pass or decent shot. the one time he looked his old self and went past a player, then went down like he had been shot when he over ran the ball. total waste of space and i would gladly see ANYONE played upfront other than him in the next game.

after that preformace, we would have to pay someone to have him!

met him last year before a game (we turned up stupidly early and he was running through stanley park as he does before games we later found out) and then again once he got back to goodison. had a chat about the team and goodison and he was as honest as he could be. came accross very well then and that was a good read!

tbh, after being at the everton game yesterday its obvious that refs take a guess at some big decisions. YES stokes goal should have stood, but look at the "freekick" that was conseeded to allow it in the first place? Baines being pushed in the back was more of a freekick than the pienaar one that lead to the chance. How to ruin a good game of football...allow Lee Mason to ref it!

just got home and im fucked. been on the road since 6am this morning but had a cracking day. Stoke came to get a 0-0 and that was evident when they started time wasting after 90 seconds of play. never witnessed that before and hope i dont again. was disappointed with stoke overall really. They just wanted to clobber us when they could. I think Arteta realised there was a massive gap if he dropped 5 yards deeper, and i personally thought he had a good game working well with pieman. Yak was my motm. Great to see him playing like that again.
