Fans Plan - Everton Supporters Trust?

Recommended Posts

As has been reported in the press recently, Liverpool fans wish to raise £500million to purchase the club from the Americans.

They have said that they need 200,000 people to pay £5,000 each to make this a reality.

Now I can't see that happening (clue is in the second sentence). It's also worth noting that £5,000 is non refundable and they won't receive a share of the profits nor will they be able to guarantee a seat for a home game seeing as the amount of owners is greater than the stadium capacity!

However it could be viable for Evertonians.

In order to buy out Bill Kenwright we would need 20,000 people willing to put £20 a month into a trust for five years with a rich person underwriting the trust.

Would those on here be in support of such an idea?

A similar idea was put forward a few years ago by a group called called the Black Watch but they were not very good at selling it.

They obviously lost a track of time while doing it and realised no wanted to.

:D:D

as they say.....I'll get My Coat
