The Daily Racist article is stuffed with conjecture and no facts just like the newspaper itself.

Whoever wrote it, must assume all the readers are idiots which, if they read the Daily Racist, they must be.

"Ayegbeni Yakubu faces an £80,000 fine" Sheer guesswork and designed to encourage people to think that that is what should happen.

"Furious Everton manager David Moyes will fine" How does the Daily Racist know how David is feeling or what he plans to do? - they don't know

and so on

Usual Daily Racist bollocks

Yakubu has gone to see family; he'll be back in time. He'll be chastised - then it'll be forgotten.

As I've already said we couldn't sell him until the summer even if we wanted to.

No word on the OS apart from at the end of DM's opinion on Reading, published at 8.00 this morning...

"Everton will be boosted for the game by the return from African Cup of Nations duty of Nigerian pairing Joseph Yobo and Yakubu."

And the report on Sky would suggest he's back...

The former Middlesbrough man has now reportedly been hit with an £80,000 fine.

He is set to train with Everton on Friday but Moyes may decide to leave him out of the squad for this weekend's clash with Reading.

Yakubu won't feature against Reading after his late return to Everton.

The Nigerian turned up at Finch Farm on Friday morning, two days later than anticipated, and David Moyes informed him he wouldn't be involved in this weekend's fixture.

It remains to be seen whether or not the top-scorer will be on board Tuesday’s flight to Bergen for the Uefa Cup first leg with SK Brann.

The Everton boss said the matter was being dealt with privately and declined to comment further.

Moyes told evertonfc.com: "All I would say is that it is an internal matter. Yak has been in this morning, I have spoken to him and he won't be included in tomorrow's squad."

Surely that answers the question for now though - he aint playing v reading and the rest (eg fine, brann etc) is to be decided over the next few days.

DM had no choice, we have a happy camp right now and it would put out the wrong message if he just accepted the Yaks behaviour.

I dont like it but i agree with it.

Of course he goes and does this as soon as I pick him back up on Fantasy. Was really hoping for a brace from him, but this is ridiculous. He needs to at least pass word through Yobo where he'll be and what the deal is.

It was DM only choice to drop him. Still this says alot about the player(s), Yobo was back on time and didn't take the piss. Really annoyed with Yak as we need him for this game as we can build a cushion between us and 5th if results go as expected.

Wtf is the yak thinking of... we needed him 2 after our goal drought (which the linesmen didnt help) but if we lose we wont finish 4th IMO a must win and itll be the yak fault if we fail to score.

Disagree to an extent Josh.

I think we've got enough to score without The Yak, we are not a one man team and in the last two games although we havnt scored we have created chances (and even put some away <_<)

He has let the team down big time but it will be the players out on the pitch tommorw that will be held countable if we dont win.

BUT

We will win 2-0 so its all ok :D :D

On the up-side, if yak does play again (ive no doubt he'll be straight back after reading), he'll be desperate to make an impact.

If i have a bad day at work (most days), i often think about my last job cos it really took the piss. It helps me to keep goin...so my message to the yak is...do you wanna go back to boro?! (thought not, so pull your finger out)! :P

moyes has done the right thing shut up shop on incidents like this. but it is in full view for the press to make a big thing out of it. next we will be in the press because yak met keegan and he going to newcastle for 30m.( bulllllllllllllllllll shit) As long as we have him back and he starts scoreing and keeps us above the red shite that will do for me. so all this talk about him going in the summer must stop

according to the paper the president of nigeria (spelling i know) asked the squad to stay on as he wanted to see them in person hence yaks being late back were as yobo decided to come back on time

Just got in there before me Romey. Forgive but not forget. If its true that he gave his word before hand that he'd come back promptly then it is a big let down. Stories come from everywhere so don't know what to believe as always. Wish the yak would apologise and clear it up. Suppose shows how much we miss his goals!

"Yakubu has been a major success since his £11.25million move from Middlesbrough in August, scoring 12 goals as Everton moved into contention for a Champions League place and Moyes appears to have adopted a pragmatic stance on the matter."

Nothing else he could do really. Made his point ("and don't fucking do it again!"), get on with it.

 Nice one, StevO.

On the matter though, I did read in an interview with Moyes that he has had to learn to take a softer approach with some of the players as they tend to need a bit of an arm around their shoulders sort of approach. Seems like Yak is one of these kinds.
