just looked at some trailors for GOW2 and its looks epic.

cannot wait for that

 

That games coming out on November 7th and can't wait for it. This Friday. The game will feature Fenix which I am glad about after a rumour said he woulden't be featured. I've still not completed Gears 1. I didn't get into the game until about a week ago. It's amazing. Definatly cashing in on this one.

 

Anyone got Fable 2? If so how is it?

Not got or getting Fable 2 does not appeal to me.

 

About to go and pre order my copy of GOW2 from Blockbusters today. They are the same as game which is opening at midnight on Thursday night to start selling it but doubt will collect til Friday lunch time.

 

Will look at preordering COD WAW at same time I think

Fable 2 is meant to be terrific.

 

Football Manager 09 demo is out btw, folks. Match Engine is terrific, though there are an annoyingly large amount of injuries though SI said they'll fix it come release. Everton have 1 million to spend, 65k wages free and at minimum a top half position is required. It's going to be tough, guys.

 

I've brought in a load of frees like Edgar Davids, Gravesen, Ljungberg, along with buying 3 players (Enyeama and Loslov and Cacares [Not the famous one]) and loaning in Belleti, with only Turner going the other way.

 

I didn't do it for quality folks, because of the injury bug I needed squad depth

Played the new COD beta multiplayer last night. Its was there for download on xbox live last night. Looks good (what I have seen so far much the same as COD4)

 

The dogs and the tanks look good on there. Also nice to see if you kill the dogs you get points for it.

 

Guns take loads of time to reload (which you would expect) and the levels seem quite big.

Just got onto Act 4 on Gears. I enjoyed defeating the Corpser (Giant Spider) I'm working my way through it and loving it - saying I just started I finished off on the third part, which is halfway.

I did not. I'm currently up to Pale Horse of GOW. I need to kill RAAM, which sounds a lot easier than it is. People I have spoken to have said that you have to fire the crossbow at him to eliminate the Krill and then shoot his head six times with the sniper rife, all of which can be found in the cabinet before the duel.

 

I let Dom die, for the reason that he is useless. I then fire RAAM with a few arrows to get rid of his friends and then shoot him around the head area with the sniper rifle. I manage to get on average 4 shots on target before he comes too close and I have to duck/run to the back of the train. He then shoots me a few times, injuring me before I repeat the process by which he's got his Krill friends back and has shot me with his rocket launcher/machine gun.

 

Anyone know an easy way to do this? Adam, know anything?

My copy was picked up for me at lunch time so will get a bit of play tonight before going out, however will be playing online with some mates and not sure when will get to play the single player game but if find out and still stuck will let you know

new gears is class

Birthday today and as I wanted I got Dead Space, Fallout 3 and Quantum Of Solace. The James Bond game is kinda' cool. It follows the film a little (which was amazing) and the controls are something special for a FPS. Daniel Craig/Olga Kurylenko look like the real thing and the characters move, feel and interact like real people.

 

Fallout 3 was a little slow starting, being a baby and crawling around daddy's feet as a tutorial wasn't the best, but it was OK. The birthday party sucked, having to sit there whilst a robot messily cuts a cake and a boy insults you. I managed to escape the Vault a few years later when I was 19, after taking the G.O.A.T I attempted to kill Butch - who had bullied the playable character for several days, but it woulden't let me kill him - I killed Anya's father instead and now she hates me...shame. I'm looking for a nearby town for news on my Dad (who is missing) but at the moment all I'm getting is wastleland, I've not seen a single human. Apart from four mindless raiders that attack me with knives and guns. I'm liking it but I'm unsure of where exactly I should be going.

 

Not played Dead Space much, played about 10% of the tutorial. Looks OK. Not what I expected but then again neither was GOW and it turned out awesome. Will have to see what its like when I play in more depth.

I spent 3 hours last night playing GOW2 on line.

 

Very good and that was only really playing Horde mode.

 

Still prefer COD4 but its different enough to enjoy both.

 

Played the demo for that mirror edge yesterday and that was good as well.

I spent all last night Fallout and Quantum. I'm getting into the Fallout storyline now. I'm in Megaton after escaping Vault 101 and seeking information about my father. I'm looking to Galaxy News Radio for some help after finding out some interesting facts from the barman dude. I made friends with Gog and Anya at the bar and am delivering a message for a small blonde girl for her parents (which will get me some nice caps)

 

Its awesome, and I'm sure tonight will be very much Fallout-themed

COD WAW is out today however the missus is buying it for me for xmas so got to wait another month and half before can play it.

 

She is getting the new Football Manager game but on the PSP.

Just got myself Fifa 09 for what im calling an early xmas present. Fantastic love it already.... The online play isnt to bad but people just going United all the time pisses me right off..... why carnt the ranked games just be levelled off so all teams have equal skills....

 

The gameplay is much better than 08 but there seem to be a few bugs knocking about,,, some being quiet funny like the "advantage rule" where you get sent off like 20 mins after committing a nothing tackle...

 

Anyway im loving it......bugs n all

I agree with DangerMouse with that bug thing. I brought someone down in the Champions League last night in the first few minutes and when the ball went out of play at around the 30th I got my player (Joseph Yobo) sent off! I had to remember what it was I had actually done. That rule is kinda' good when it works but there are a few funny improvements like that one.

 

What I really liked was something I found out a few days ago. I won the league with my first season (as Everton) on the last game. Winning the Premiership by four goals. I got into the Champions League as a prize and got drawn against Ajax, FC Basel and Sparta Praga. The thing that I like the most is the way in which the atmousphere changes. When I played Ajax Goodison was screaming songs throughout and when I played Basel away it was non-stop chanting from the foreign supporters. But it was real chants, they were singing actual songs and it was brilliant to play. I come away with a 1-1 draw. The atmousphere played a big factor and made the game that little bit more interesting.

Yes, but not licensed. It's like it always is, ECC with the Champions League trophy and all that. Pro Evolution only got the license to include the logo and football. They could also use the ITV theme for when the players get thier names displayed on the screen. FIFA still has both European Championships (ECC/EFA) like it always has.

I liked COD4 but only online play. Never got into the single player mode and with COD WAW dont think will play the single player mode either.

 

Think I am trying GOW2 on line tonight for a few hours so that should be fun

Yeah that's my problem Adam. I don't really go on Xbox Live so if that's all the game will offer than it dosen't appeal. If the single mode sucks then I won't be making a purchase.

 

Good look on Gears Of War 2, I might pick that up when towards 2009, at the moment I'm busy with Dead Space, Quantum Of Solace and Fallout 3

Has anyone noticed how the players unfairly seem to level up when the computer doesnt like getting beat....

 

Id pissed about 3/4 of my first season losing ony a few away games... im not fantastic but Im not to bad at beating the comp AI and I usually come away winning games by a few goals....Next thing I know.... im about 15 points clear with only a handful of games to go....... now im struggling to score against everyone i play... everyone has turned into christiano ronaldo.... they run like sebastian co except about twice as fast and never mind their defence doubling up on me, im lucky if I get less than three.... To go with that my players carnt pass for piss... I somehow have a re-encarnation of Stuart Barlow up front and my only big fucka's Fellini, Lescot, Jags and the Yak get flattened with ease by little shady characters like Aron Lennon........

 

Anyway still top of the prem but strggling like anything......

ive got the demo but havent played it yet. and how anyone didnt like COD4 i dont know, argubly the best online shooter since counterstrike.

the single player was epic also as it had a good story behind it. I dont know if i want COD5 yet, going back to WW2 is a tricky game there playing, dont know if games like that appeal to me after COD4.

Anyone else have trouble connecting to games on GOW2 on multiplayer? takes pure ages.

Call me childish but I'm liking the look of the new Banjo Kazooie game I had the original when I was around about 5-6 and loved it and am even considering getting the new one 'Nuts and Bolts' for the Xbox 360. It's not a serious game, but it's some fun.

 

 

 

Also, Mirrors Edge looks good. You play as a Japanese girl who specialises in Free Running - she's good at combat and the general game is based around you carrying out missions whilst doing a hell of a lot of free running.

Who's getting Guitar Hero? The game has already made sales across the globe in its thousands and has made a nice little bit of profit, the setlist which includes Bullet For My Valentine, Lostprophets, Paramore and shed-load others was released yesterday. It's going straight onto my wishlist

1) I haven't experianced the computer levelling up when getting beat, I think that's just the computer attempting to be realistic. In past experiances when I've been beating teams they have got better on the attack and made moves that normally would not happen. It's just them giving everything they've got. If you work it right then you can catch them on the break and grab another goal. I actually have a neat little tactic that I always do. When I'm two goals ahead (2-0, 3-1,4-2) and it's past the 85th minute, boot the ball out into the crowd for a corner. The opposition keeper will come up for it and, well, fail. Come out and catch it, roll it out to your defender when there is room, line yourself up with the centre of the pitch and make a clearance (X) make sure the bar is to the full and your player will hoof the ball as hard as he can up the field, over the keeper and into the goal. I've lost count how many times that I've done that.

 

2) I've managed to get through the group stages in the Champions Leauge. Drew first two games against Ajax and Basel before beating Sparta Prague back to back and getting to the top of the table. Went on to beat Basel 5-0 and qualify before beating Ajax with a reserve team 5-3. I'm playing on Proffessional and am in the Semi's of the Carling Cup - Knocked out of the FA Cup by QPR. 3-5 on penalties, the first penalty shootout that I've lost in 3 seasons.

 

3) I won the league last year by four goals. This time I'm comfortably at the top with ten points more than Aston Villa who are second, Chelsea behind and Tottenham behind them. Liking it, in January, top of the table. Very nice indeed.
