DonKey
Struggling to decide at the minute. Thought Jagielka was the rock we know and love again. Baines had a good game both defensively and reasonablegoing forward. Arteta , and Cahill both did well aswell!
dark
..If anyone votes for Anichebe then its a fix It could have gone to a few people today. Leighton Baines was the one that stood out, his tackle to stop Fernando Torres from scoring was magnificent. He seemed to be on a new level tonight, I've wanted to see him more in the team and he must have surely won his place there. I would rather see the Back 4 the way they are than shove Joseph, for all I like him if were working so well together at the moment - why change anything? 234ever
I voted Cahill. Would've given it to Pienaar were it not for Cahill's goal ...
Ian C
Great all around performance, and I think Cahill's goal just makes him stand out.
BedfordBlue
I thought Anichebe had a decent game tonight, not man off the match but a decent game. Arteta for me.
GMorrison183
Stevie P put in a great deal of work tonight and was responsible for a lot of the link up play. Normally I go for the goal scorer, but I was very impressed with him today.

Blue 250
I went with Jagielka, he had Torres in his pocket.

Maghull70
Just about everyone played well. A few could have got Man of The Match. I pretty much made my mind up that it was Baines when he made that last ditch tackle to stop what looked like a certain goal (although I think it was Hyypia bearing down so prob wouldve missed). The only thing I will say is that I WISH Big Vic would stay on his feet and stop looking for soft free kicks and in this case a penalty when he was in a great position to either score himself or lay it off to Osman
Everton_Worshiper
Baines easily won it today, hopefully he keeps his place ahead of Yobo! Next would have been Cahill, good performance and great goal. Movement to get the goal was 1st class!! Pienaar was bad today, pushed off the ball and bad passes quite often. Vic for such a big lad goes ddown too easy, taken lessons from the Yak.

I was surprised to see people voting for Pienaar I thought he was poor tonight, gave the ball away almost every time he touched it first half. evertonblue
The defence was good tonight. Arteta was very poor. Anichebe impressed me, he and Pienaar worked tirelessly. But Cahill got us the point! Hes a weapon in the air! So Cahill, could have been anichebe but. Jagielka also impressed.

carlmc25
Shocked to see that Anichebe has no votes, I thought he was outstanding tonight, rarely gave the ball away and held off numerous challenges and caused problems all night, Cahill - goal aside- did vitually nothing. Anichebe has shown against both Villa and Liverpool that he has what it takes - strong, quick, decent control and awareness, good in the air - I thought he and Pienaar were both by far our best attacking threats and although Baines also played well I think Anichebe easily was man of the match. Let's hope he keeps it up. Thought Osman, Arteta and Neville were quiet but then I suppose they were up against two of the best midfielders in the league and Gerrard and Alonso were hardly outstanding either. Good result and fully deserved, we can take them on Sunday.

I agree with all you say even in giving Baines MOM. It would be harsh indeed to suggest anyone had a bad game, we are a team that works for each other and it shows. evertonblue
arteta was brilliant 2day, ref was bein a lil harsh on him aswell, how can u say he was very poor? He gave away Possession countless times. And failed to hold the ball up in the first half. He played oright in the 2nd half but was below par for me.
