Missed the first 20 mins , but thought we did really well today .

I always find it difficult to pick someone out when the whole team playes well , but I'm delighted to see the young lads getting on the pitch again .

Will also give my Vote today , for one reason .

He could easily have let another guy step forward on the penalty , and had he missed it , is début would have destroyed him mentally . That showed strong character , and leadership qualities , which is exactly what we want to see . It also said ' look guys , I'm the fecking goal scorer in this team ... move aside ' :)

Top attitude .

Do you reckon Jô dived for the first penalty? <_<

Absolutely :)

Here is my post in relation to it ;)

Missed the first 25 minutes , but finally got a link .

Everton look to be playing extremely well .

From the 20 minutes I've seen , Jô seems to be getting into decent areas and making a nuicance of himself at least .

Thought he might have done a few somersaults on the way to hitting the deck lol

Overall looking good , and hope to get another before legs get tired and injuries occur .

What a footballing display, excellent stuff.

Just about everyone played well, Osman was the only one I was a bit disappointed with, quite a few loose balls. He seemed a bit off the pace.

Jô, Baines, Arteta, Cahill (how did he miss that first chance?), Gosling. All were very impressive.

One thing that stood out for me was the spirit in the side, the way we worked for each other AND the way evryone was enjoying their football.

You could just tell that the players have made Jô feel at home and Jô seemed to be having a ball- I bet he's dreading going back to City at the end of the season (methinks he may submit a transfer request).

Can't see how anyone else can get it to be honest. He's come from Manchester City, a team where he only played 9 games netting 1 and it would have taken a lot of balls to do some of the stuff he did yesterday, some of his first touches were absolute class. If that is the kind of performance that he can produce on his début then I can't wait to see him in action in a few months time - Legend

An assist by going down in the box which may of been a dive but it was some nice skill to get into a 'diving' position

Two goals, one from the penalty spot but it took a lot of courage and his first goal was pure class

On the basis that it was a début and having to get to know, players and systems quickly I thought Jô had a good game, although a few things did not come off but that would be harsh aginst him to complain about. Held the ball up well, won a few headers, scored a fine individual goal and slotted home a pen. Therefore he just gets the vote in front of 4 or 5 other contenders.
