Have to say that I couldn't watch the match properly as the streams tonight were terrible . Probably because United were playing .

A few decent bits of football on and off , but I dread playing Blackburn every season .

Gave my vote to Mr Baadhi .

I hate to be critical of Blues but does anyone here actually go to the game. I know we are all granted opinions but how can you give a man of the match to nobody, it just doesn't make sense. If you watch the game on the box or in some cases streaming it can give a distorted view of the game. The camera concentrates on the ball,as it should, and can often miss vital passages, often subtle, of play. For instance last night, as watching from the ground, you could see Lescott constantly covering Yobo, who appeared to be getting caught out on the wrong side of Roberts but this would have been missed from the cameras until Roberts actually got the ball. Cahill worked his socks off, Pienaar was industrious, which was required on a strangely quick pitch with tackles flying in, albeit without the much needed creativity. Neville shielded Rodwell, as the kid had his possibly worst game so far and Howard did all that was asked. Maybe you want the man who scores the 30 yarder or the guy who beats 5 men, get real guys it doesn't happen every game but there is always a man of the match.

I await the negative responses with baited breath.

Fair point. I've never voted for him (Baadhi) and he's only had twelve votes all season out of 1250+ cast.

Symbolic more than anything, just a way of offering a protest vote if people think the team's played particularly poorly.

Yesterday will be completely forgotten if we get a result on Sunday, and I'm sure (as I said in the match thread) that maybe some of the players were thinking about the 'Boro game last night.

Thanks MikeO, I guess in hindsight it is a symbolic gesture to be able to vote for nobody, possibly in some ways the whole team should be able to get a vote as well. Maybe got up in the wrong mood, as I never got home for a pint last night, even though Blackburn is just down the road.

Giving my Vote on this occasion to Baadhi was basically because I couldn't watch enough of the match to give a fair vote , but what I did watch was disappointing .

Football is a funny game .

The United goaly is getting all the praise for the clean sheets , when really , the opposition have been prevented by scoring because they are normally on the defence . My dog could play in goal for United , and probably get clean sheets . So no , I wouldn't give a motm for one moment of genius , or a sympathy vote , like others seem to do here for young players .

As for getting to matches , I rarely go to a match now . Did my stint for many years , but now my family comes first and matchdays can get expensive . Too many idiots in the grounds these days too . As you get older , you notice it more :)

Why not just cast no vote rather than vote for Baadhi?! As for last night, we kept a clean sheet and they only had one chance so I think the defence did their job. Neville was excellent in midfield as well, carrying Rodwell whilst he was on the pitch. Apart from Neville only Pienaar contributed anything going forward, I thought he was unlucky not to get a penalty as well as I didn't think Warnock touched the ball.

After watching the game on EFC TV i gave my vote to Lescott.

After last weeks game i made a comment about Yobo letting his man get away from him on several occasions, and like The Beard said it was happening again last night. Lescott did a lot of covering, was also doing a bit of shouting at several players, organising and keeping them on their toes. Future Captain maybe. ??

IMO no. He is too hit and miss for me, I actually thought yesterday he looked slow and out of position for periods of the game. Jags could and should be captain, he reminds me of Terry.

I didn't think Yobo did a lot wrong to be honest, apart from that one time he seemed to be sleeping when Roberts went through the middle (whether Yobo or Lescott was supposed to be marking him I don't know but Yobo seemed to think there was no danger at all). Most of the threat came down Lescott's side and since Yobo has been back in the team we have kept 3 clean sheets in a row. I'm not saying he has been back to his best yet (he always takes some time to get his form back) but he's done pretty well. The defence isn't letting us down, it's the midfield (who are not coming to give the defence an out ball, like Arteta did) and attack. Aside from Neville, Pienaar and Cahill the rest of the midfield/attacking players need to up their game.
