zequist
Just saw this note on another site: After negotiating with Valencia and Villarreal, MLS now appears to be eyeing Everton [as their opponent] for the All-Star Game in Salt Lake City this summer. Featuring New Jersey's own Tim Howard in goal, Everton is currently sixth in the English Premiership and headed for the FA Cup final after upsetting Manchester United this week. This is the game where the best players from all of MLS team up for a friendly against an international opponent. You might recall a few of the headlines when the MLS team beat Chelsea a couple of years ago. They've also played Fulham, West Ham, and Celtic in years past.
