I'd like to see...

.........Howard..............

Nev...Yobo...Lescott...Baines

Osman..Cahill..Felli..Pienaar

........Jo...Saha............

and just bully the fookers and get the ball in the air (champagne football!) We'd have plenty of height at set-pieces and with pienaar and baines down the left we should be able to get some crosses in!

Agreed. I think we can win this in the air.

I think he'll put a defender on the bench. Mustafi, Coleman or Duffy  ? All we've got :( .

If we were to lose a defender I'm sure he'd drop Neville back and reshuffle, but I still think one of the lads will be there.

Not what was needed...

"Steven Pienaar is a doubt for the clash with a knee injury."

From the OS :( .

Could be Moyes first mind game of the new season!Pienaar was our best player in the 2nd half of the season....I'm sure Arsenal would like him not to be there.Always a bit of a blow to learn that the player desined not to make it onto the pitch.....turns up looking fit and ready to turn your defence inside out!

Pienaar really hit form last season, he has the potential with Baines to destroy a team with a week right side, I'd like to see both of those two (Pienaar and Baines) having a few more cracks from the edge of the box.

1-0 Everton, Lescott, from a corner

Holy shit....this is a worry  .

Lawrenson's predictions.

Everton v Arsenal

With no new faces coming in over the summer, Everton have the same squad that saw them finish fifth last season.

However, it will be interesting to see if David Moyes picks Joleon Lescott after he had a transfer request turned down by the club.

Arsenal have talent in abundance with the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Cesc Fabregas and Eduardo, but they are lacking players with real power, which is a concern.

Arsene Wenger probably needs a little more time to work out how his team are going to play this season, so I think they will make a losing start at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Verdict: 2-1
