nogs
Someone on NSNO has posted that City are in talks with us over a deal for Arteta - cash plus Bellamy . I'd offer them Pienaar on the same deal if he doesn't want to sign a new contract with us
DangerMouse
If its true... which I doubt........ Im sure they could buy better players than Arteta for £24m do they not realise that buying from Everton will be expensive.........
marcopaulo
Probably; all their fans are thick as shit, they all still beleive they have a 'history'.... cheered me up that post
jcrawfor
The board need to get Arteta's new contract sorted ASAP. There should be enough in the purse to offer him 60k/week. I don't think a single player on the squad would be arsed about that as they should all clearly see that he his one of, if not the, best players and deserves a little more. jofanon
I'd rather he'd stay. But... £17m (for Mountinho) plus Bellamy and Ireland then I'd turn my head...!
jcrawfor
How about 20 mil plus Ireland and SWP? I quite like SWP (even when he was at Chelski, and I FUCKING HATE CHELSEA!!!) Use the 20mil for Donovan, and Darren Bent. and then take Petrov on a free. Edited May 25, 2010 by bluenoseyankee

Ian C
Tbh as much as I love Arteta - and don't get me wrong, I love him to bits - if we got Bellamy + the cash to buy Moutinho I'd say we'd have to take the deal. But very unlikely in my opinion.
Hafnia
Bellamy has not got long left in his legs by his own admission, plus his wages would be top bracket. Get Petrov and don't even let those lot have any of our players, we would get 2 good years out of Petrov.

MikeO
Hopefully right but they don't half print some shite... "Moyes stood by Arteta, 28, after a cruciate knee ligament injury in February 2009 ruled him out for eight months." What else was he going to do? Sack him for getting injured? Romey 1878
He could have sat by him seeing as Arteta may have found it a little difficult to stand up .
