Anichebe

Recommended Posts

Seriously i havnt seen or heard anything on victor for a very long time where is he?

Last I heard he was still trying to recover from Kevin Nolans career threatening tackle last season and the chances of him doing so were against him, it is that bad

My Mum was talking to her cousin on Boxing Day, who is good friends with Anichebe's parents. He's living in Knutsford and there is a distinct possibility that his career could be over as a result of that injury. Although he's not a great loss to our club it's terrible for the lad that he may never be able to play again.

well since reading this topic i didnt realise it was so severe, i thought he was due back around this month some time. Im one of the few you will find that has always liked anichbe, he has the ability there, a bit like vaughan, i hope he does come back, you cant wish this on any young player

Big Donkey! Sad about if his career is over though, if it isnt it shoudn't carry on with us! Vaughan has more in the locker, Anichebe looks knackered after a 5 yard run and he is a young lad! DONKEY!

Yak is public enemy #1 in Nigeria because of his miss in the World Cup. I don't think he'll play for Nigeria again.

Ridiculous if that's the reason....he was offside so it wouldn't/shouldn't have counted anyway  .

Just maybe the Nigerian manager has realised he is not good enough anymore ;)

I think even my nan is better than Utaka!

Strange omission considering he is actually scoring goals again now.

Guardian reporting he was injured in the final minutes of the nigeria match in erm, madagascar. Madagascar??? Out for three weeks. Hopefully Moyes will play Vellios or Denis rather than chuck Fellaini or Cahill up front.

I thought Madagascar was a cartoon, and where the Nazis wanted to send all the jews during the war. Turns out it's really an African country.

I hope that's a joke.. surely you knew it was a country?

Thought Britain was going to repatriate the Jews to Tasmania after WW2?

Was talked about as a Jewish homeland...as was the Kimberley area in Western Oz but never really had a serious prospect of happening.

The Madagascar plan was a Nazi thing before they decided on genocide.

Madagascar was never an option to Himmler and the rest of the '' top men of the SS'' let alone the Reichfurer, their fate was decided long before the start of the war.

not going to celebrate because that would be wrong, but I will happily say Im relieved that he isnt going to lead the line.

This. I never wish harm on anyone and celebrating because he's injured is bad. Him not being available is benefitial to all

if fellaini is pulled out of dm and shoved upfront that isn't beneficial to fuck all

not true, we will be playing with 11 men instead of 10+1 bitchy little moaning useless bitch (get well soon Vic)

really? it just means he gets shoved up front so that defenders get scared by his overpowering mop of hair and he gets replaced by the frightened little boy that is Jack Rodwell, another fine mess we are in, the joys of supporting EFC

I dont think he will get put up there personally, so whole point is moot. Even if he does, he scores more than Vic does and Rodwell gets a decent run in the team to get his confidence back. I really dont see a downside

how is that different to what weve been doing?

its not, but Rodwell is not in a position to protect the back four, he's scared to touch the bloody ball at the moment, so it will be hoof ball against the likes of Richard Dunne, which is just a waste of time if you ask me

Interesting all this, we have one fit loan striker and an unproven raw talent in velios.

More fuel for the protest me thinks. If fellaini plays upfront I will flip. If Saha doesn't return quick and or Denis doesn't hit the ground running the board better start wearing tin hats.

Whatever you think of beckford and yak, their sale was an indication of our dire finances, we have no back fill at all.

Why don't you think he'll do it? Just a few weeks ago we were losing 1-0 and he took our only striker off and put Fellaini up there, even though we had a striker on the bench.

gut feeling / desperate blind optimism....

See skip Neville was out peddling his weekly dose of nonsense. Lucky to still have moyes, as one of the big boys haven't snatched him..... Yawn Phil, I'm sure united are really looking to have a manager that will set up 4-5-1 at home vs QPR.

We are fortunate to have had him work with a zero net spend, fair enough
