Yak Shortlisted For Wafu Award

Yakubu has been short-listed by the West African Football Union (WAFU) for player of the year. The West African Football Union is a sub-confederation which organises international tournaments for the West African region. WAFU created the award to honour West African players who ply their trade in Europe.


The new award will be given to the player who receives the most votes from the public. The vote is carried out by SMS and telephone.

Adebayor... following on from incident at ACN and his subsequent retirement.

Think of it as a Togolese Ryan Giggs in some form of award shenanigans if you will.
