I'd be baulking at the ticket prices, are they usually so expensive in Oz? £30 at the minimum for a friendly :o

I'd put my money on it being the A-League clubs that put that price on there.

They are all a bit strapped for cash, but they clearly don't get the whole supply/demand thing...hell, if they had the Melbourne game at the MCG(100k capacity) instead of Docklands(50k) and halved the ticket prices they'd have a full house MCG instead of an echoing Docklands with a pitch that rivals Wembley.

Bit of a joke really...

The Everton Supporters Club of Australia has sent an email saying to hold off buying tickets, they're trying to organise a section of the stadium for Everton fans... at the very least they'll post up information on which block/location to book a ticket so that we're not all spread out.

I'll pay the $140 if that's where they decide to stick the everton fans section... however will reconsidering paying it twice.. might skip going to Sydney, though I think that will be the toughest game for Everton and likely to be the most entertaining.

just to make matters worse...the Sydney game is on my sister's 18th birthday and the Melbourne game is on my girlfriend's mum's birthday.

How fuck am I gonna pull this one off.

Easy. Buy your sister a ticket to the game for her birthday. Same with your girlfriend's mum.

They win, you win.

I've just got back from sending an email to my roster people. I'm extending my leave which was originally from the 9th to 18th. It's now the 1st to the 18th, hoping to catch the team at the airport!

I know of, at least 20 people who are flying out independently. Arranged visits from 1 week to 1 month, alas I shall not be able to attend, perversely because I have family who live in Brisbane and have actually come over to Liverpool for the summer, how bloody ironic. :( Especially as where about to arrange to go last year when an Everton trip was mooted but was then cancelled.

For those who are travelling down, check out the following threads. We've, or the ESCA, have organised pre-game drinks.

It'd be great to meet you travelling supporters!

Couldn't find Melbourne's venue thread. I'll look out for it :)
