Aidan
Sigurdsson has been left out of the Swansea team to face Sampdoria amid speculation of a move away. - has he even played a singed friendly? He's going to be bloody rusty when he comes and nowhere near match fit
Finn balor
Yeah I don't know why we have pissed about. He won't be ready till after the internationals probably

Paddock
Clemment said after the game that there is nothing to report, no developments, no bid accepted no nothing. So it's as you were.

markjazzbassist
We know we can get him for that price. Since Swansea had repeated said no and haggled over as little as 2m. Fuck em. Buy him last minute of deadline day so they don't have time to reinforce.
duncanmckenzieismagic
I want us to walk away now and sign someone younger and possibly better. I wish Barkley was staying the fact he's leaving is down to Koeman he's handled it all wrong. Koeman tried to give him the kick up the arse he needs, if Ross can't handle that we are better off without him nutmegwolf203, SimonButtle and Romey 1878
Paddock
What he's saying is whoever offers the right fee can have him. I know that mate- I'm talking about these rumours saying yhe deals done 48 million etc- it's clearly not after that.

DownUnderToff
Nice to see his list of needs and that he is confident in getting all three by the end of the month. I don't really see Gylfi fitting any of those "needs" that he described... I know he can play out wider, but he's hardly a "winger". Still don't see him being dynamic enough for what we need up front.
Bill
Even with Rooney, gylphi, and Klaasen, the shites midfield is way better than ours, if we were going to spend money we should have bought big.

Liverpools front line is arguable the best in the league Bill.
EFC-Paul
Must admit they do have some great attacking and pacey options atm With jobbers like Henderson and a fairly poor defence they will hopefully come unstuck
London Blue
I would say that our attacking options are good, we just need a striker to be the focal point, and a winger to finish them off. Once our players have settled in they will be very potent. Its hard to judge our team when we don't have a striker to be a focal point. rubecula

We have a striker on thread decline, a high potential but unproven in the league striker playing wide and DCL. Sigurdsson will be solid but nothing more. Sigurdsson will be solid but nothing more. Lookman, Mirallas, Bolasie all have pace, trickery and can beat a man. Klassan, Rooney and Siggy can thread passes at pace and create chances. Sandro will be a real threat once he adjusts to the team and the league. DCL has the attributes to be a very good striker, but needs experience. What we lack is a true striker to replace Lukaku, and a winger to cover / challenge Lookman / Mirallas and Bolasie. rubecula
c1982
Hadn't noticed this article from a few days ago (sorry if already posted)... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/who-scored-blog/2017/jul/26/gylfi-sigurdsson-everton-swansea-transfer-window Asks a lot of the questions many of us are asking... is he really what we need? Why are we about to pay £50m for a 27 year old (28 next month) when there's young, cheaper, 'better' around?
Shukes
Been saying it all along and it's shown recently. We're missing Barkley more than we need Sigurdson. We need someone who can create opportunities during open play. No point throwing loads of crosses into the box if our forwards don't want to challenge for headers. There first 3 are unproven, proven not good enough and injured for most of the season. Siggy is the exception, Klaasen is likely to play in central midfield ano I've covered Rooney. Other two unproven but with potential. I'd argue that our attackers aren't as good as last season.
