StevO
Still crazy money. Rather Mahrez for that kind of cash, if only for the extra years out of him.
Cornish Steve
http://www.90min.com/posts/5301975-why-swansea-talisman-gylfi-sigurdsson-is-absolutely-worth-50m-in-today-s-market Good read The conclusion I drew from that article is that he's worth 50m to Swansea but he may not be worth 50 to Everton. I'm all for snapping up the players most wanted by Walsh and Koeman, but the price is very inflated. I'm with those who think we should look elsewhere for better value. Matt
Barkley doesn't make the cut in any category. Shocker. Looking at that now much would Eriksen cost? If only. Give them Barkley and the £45-50m proposed for Glyfi, see what happens (which would be nothing, they'd be insane to sell) Edited July 26, 2017 by Matt

Well if Liverpool are rejecting £72m for Coutinho then Erikson must surely be more than that.

I think he's been in my team in every season, usually one of the first. I remember watching him for Ajax, and was gutted Spurs got him on such a low fee. Him and Coleman, although Coleman was a little pricey last year, Eriksen has gone up this year I'm surprised noone comes in for him once he was proven in the league. He's better than Bale so God knows how much Levy would want for him now.

Yup, but I remember someone saying he got a huge signing on fee to entice him over. Apparently he's "only" on 70k a week. He could easily double, maybe treble, that if he wanted. Peter H
That's all it will ever be. He's probably the must underrated player in the league. Looking at those stats I would say that Gylfi is more underated. Everyone on here would like Eriksen to join Everton which means that we all rate him better than Gylfi. But Gylfis stats are as good as Eriksens.
Peter H
Gylfi vs Eriksen Freekick goals. Gylfi +1 Goals involved in. Eriksen +1 Assists. Eriksen +4 Goals scored. Gylfi +3 Not much between them and i know who i would buy if one cost 50m and the other cost around 70-80m SuperSig

Peter H
They're worlds apart in my eyes. What do you base your opinion on? The attacking stats can hardly separate them. If you add meters covered, passing, interceptions, tackling etc they wont be worlds apart either.

If you add meters covered, passing, interceptions, tackling etc they wont be worlds apart either. Having watched them for years. I value them both very highly, specifically paying attention to them and their development over the years. I lived in Amsterdam for a while and followed them closely as my friends there were big fans so I followed them for a few years even after I left Amsterdam. Hence my appreciation of CE. Gylfi I followed because of a few MOTM moments in his first spell at Swansea, and just kept an eye on him. Let me put it this way; Eriksen would improve any team in the world in my opinion, Gylfi wouldn't. That's why they're worlds apart in my eyes. But then, they have different styles of play so I guess it's relative Edited July 26, 2017 by Matt

Matt
KOEMAN ON SIGURDSSON Koeman has also been asked about Everton's pursuit of Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson, with Swansea holding out for £50m for the midfielder. "Of course we have interest in the player," said the Toffees manager. Asked if there will be another bid, he added: "I don’t know." Seems he's forgotten that he doesn't talk about players at other clubs again
