DonKey
Would love this to go through. Remember watching a few years back in the u21 World/Euro Champs and he looked quality. Fast with a cracking engine on him, and a left peg.

HalewoodBlue
Why would a Real Madrid player sign for any more than a season long loan to Everton? He isnt stupid

Wall Writer
As far as I know, he's only got one year left on his Real Madrid contract, so if he does well and choses to stay, we'll get him on a free next year, (well we'll get him for a loan fee). I'm pretty pleased with that signing, he could potentially fill in on the wing, where we're desperate, and if he does well and chooses to stay, it could be a good bit of business. Time will tell. DonKey
Because his contract is up and he clearly has no future at Real... maybe.

Steve_E
yeah, looks like he managed to get out of his last year of his contract! Something to be happy about? I don't really know him well. He only played for 1 season in the Dutch top flight really. He was then bought in a big money move by Real, mainly because of a great U21 world cup that Holland won. He played as a left winger back then. Ryan Babel (former RS) was the other big star of that title winning side so being good really young clearly doesn't mean you'll be really good when you're a bit older. I do know he's got a lot of pace though. I guess Baines and Drenthe could work well together.
