Blue Monday
Genuinely can't understand this move, what is Redknapp thinking? Would be surprised to see Pienaar coming back, but I wouldn't have believed Saha to Spurs either!
Zoo
I doubt he will be playing tonight which makes me heartbroken. On a serious note this raises our chances against City tonight. Either Stracq or Vellios will play up front (both have proven they can score goals) and this will be their game to prove to Moyes that they can be a part of our team for the future. I'm loving today and don't want it to end, it has to be one of the highlights of the season for us! That is, if Moyes dosen't play TC up front and put someone else in attacking-midfield. StevO
So Spurs are going to buy Saha either way, but we may get Pienaar on loan. Well why not try to get Dos Santos in on loan? He's handy, got to be worth a punt on loan.

MikeO
Loan deals are not subject to the transfer window are they? Or are they? Yes they are. Phil McNulty... "Plenty of activity behind the scenes at Everton as they play Manchester City at Goodison Park. Nikica Jelavic is expected to complete the formalities of his £5.5m move from Rangers. Louis Saha's move to Spurs should then be confirmed and I'm told the prospect of Steven Pienaar returning to Everton is still a possibilty." rubecula
Thanks Mike. Pienaar is on the Bench for Spurs tonight. Seems certain then that he is not coming back.

Means nothing Rubes...he's been sat there so long his legs have seized up...if he comes back he'll first need paramedic assistance to stand up. Peter H
Would prefer A Johnson, but id recieve Pienaar with open arms. I just realised that saying 'would prefer a johnson' can be interpreted wrong, as in id prefer to loan Andy Johnson as opposed to what i really ment. rubecula
Obviously Adam. Typo. Had a few bye bye Saha beers That is understandable. I would be happy to keep Saha if he could recapture his old form without his old injuries though to be honest. He could have been a real great. JamesN
Just said on SSN that Saha deal is pretty much done, Melt Face has confirmed it. They also said the talks with QPR over Pienaar have broken down. Could be a goer lads,

Madmatt
2212: More news from Tottenham. Lots of it. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says he tried to sign Juventus winger Milos Krasic this week but he only wanted the Serbia international on loan and the Italian side were only interested in a permanent deal. Redknapp also says he could not let Steven Pienaar goes back to Everton because he has too many injuries and has revealed that Wolves want to sign Sebastien Bassong but he will need to complete a deal for an unnamed defender before he lets that one go through. JamesN
It made me laugh on SSN, Harry Rednapp dropping names left, right and centre, then Moyes coming on saying he doesn't like talking about players who are other clubs. Moyes was talking about other deals possibly going through so fingers crossed for something!
StevO
Just seen the interview with Harry, i'm not convinced its off. He said Pienaar is desperate to go out on loan, and Moyes had asked could we take him. I'm putting my neck out here, I think we'll get him.
