Sibdane
Really hope it's nothing serious. He's been playing well and I'd hate to see him drop out of the lineup. Matt and MC11

At least if he is out for a while it looks as though Mori is more than capable of filling the spot. Matt and MC11

Agreed and he gave it a real go on one corner for the header but Czech was there. Wouldn't be surprised if he nips a few goals.
Romey 1878
Well, Mori and Stones will have two months to form a solid partnership.

Good opportunity for Mori to bed in - lets hope its a case of "Phil is fit but will have to wait for his chance as Mori has been outstanding" I'm going to get a few anytime bets on Mori - leaps like a salmon. Who will be captain with Barry out? My guess is Coleman or Mccarthy. markjazzbassist
Guest Howard's way
Give stones Captains armband..... He more vocal than Jags nowadays anyway. this way he can prove his £70mil move to chelski come January. Lets hope he gives Mori confidence. I think they will also be fine.... Jags will struggle after this.
markjazzbassist
years past i'd be worried but RM has us STACKED at CB. Jags, stones, mori, galloway, i'd be comfortable with any of them. love the depth. i think Mori will nip some goals, he out jumps everyone on the pitch, love his effort. Jags will struggle after this. I would like to see Stones as captain soon - and he will be, love the lad. However whilst he is still prone to "over elaborating" as he did for the Arsenal second goal my gut feeling is to allow him the time to make those errors without the arm band round his arm - that said he may feel a little more responsibility and cut out the iffy decisions. (for the record it was mccarthy that messed up the 1-2, I just felt it was the wrong time in the game for Stones to do that - especially as mccarthy pointed for him to pass to Jags)
Guest rusty747
I love Jags and I am sure he will come back strong. But I must admit that a part of me is excited at the prospect of Stones and Mori forming a partnership. A bit too soon to give Stones the armband imho. I have a sneaky feeling that for the Norwich game we might see McCarthy and Osman as the 2 DMs with Ossie being given the armband. I wasn't singling out Mori, I clearly said I didn't fancy a Sones and Mori partnership , both are as error prone as the other at the moment

MikeO
Top 8 for mistakes in the league along with Stones. Howcome he's not had half the abuse? I suppose because he doesn't have the expectation; Stones is the new Rio, Phil is "just" a solid center back.

MikeO
Mori gets the abuse as well though. Seems untouchable. Don't agree with any player getting abuse personally, unless under extreme circumstances, certainly not on the pitch. Internet criticism is something different. MC11
Phil Jagielka has been a good solid centre half for a long time. But by god he's far from anything special and never has been. Always been a tier below the best.
