Sad to hear. Genuinly a bit gutted. Was doing a great job for the club and i cant really remember such a "feel good" atmosphere surrounding the club in my lifetime really apart from the season we finished fourth. Elstone sounds very stubborn, his deals are 'diamonds' and they're "the best and only option the club had", which others didn't agree with. Elstone then went through the process of ridding Myers, when they realised he had a massive fan following and didn't want the snowball affect of negative support against RE, should Myers' views had gotten out. Myers became close to the BU as well, which probably added weight to RE's decision to get rid of him. The Echo 'cover up' was a little embarrassing, claiming it was health reasons, something that now doesn't appear to be true. All in all, it's ridiculous. And slightly worrying. Wish Myers the absolute best because if you leave one 'potential' circus and straight onto the arms of the Venkys, he'll need all the help he can get. For him to leave like this makes me think things still aren't right behind the scenes. At least Alan got the badge sorted.
