Hegemon92
Am I the only one feeling fairly optimistic for this game? 2-0 for Everton FC. I would rather see Atsu over McGeady. I can't take McGeady losing the ball on the counter-attack anymore.
Guest millwallforever
Let's all hope that the Lille fans will be made to feel welcome. Buy them a few pints after the game, regardless of outcome.
MikeO
Let's all hope that the Lille fans will be made to feel welcome. Buy them a few pints after the game, regardless of outcome. The three hope European games I've been to in recent years the rapport around the ground before and after kick-off has been brilliant; see no reason for tonight to be any different, the issue in Lille was with the police and not the fans. MikeO
Everton team (to play Lille): Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Barry, McCarthy, Osman, Naismith, McGeady, Lukaku. Robles, Gibson, Eto'o, Besic, Atsu, Pienaar & Barkley on the bench.
chicagoblue
No Coleman and no defenders on the bench...?
gethinO
Disappointed in that team if I'm honest. Not much flair there is there? Coleman should have started if he's fit and isn't it time that 34 year old Barry has a little rest? Correct me if I'm wrong but he's played every game this season? Osman and Mcgeady on the wings does not fill me with excitement. If we lose tonight then Roberto has to take the blame for that team selection. Cornish Steve
Grow up? What's the point? Age is just a number...only your joints tell you otherwise...so as long as you don't try back flips and somersaults, it's cool! As my uncle used to say, a man is only as old as the woman he feels. Shukes
There's enough in that team to win. And a strong attacking bench too. Resting a few players while giving minutes to squad players.

Toffee_in_LA
Another Thursday game, another game where I'm stuck in class for most of it. This one allows me to use my laptop though so I will be doing my best to monitor it throughout the next couple hours. COYB!
milesey05
Just hope we go for it from the start tonight. This slow patient build up keeping possession is great for the stats but tonight I would like to see some urgency and maybe a bit more direct play from the off. So here's to a boring nil nil then. Shukes
Great start there. Good feet ossie, good cross baines, great touch Naisy and really unlucky from Rom. Great save.
Hafnia
Naisy first touch was brilliant, instinctive shot by Rom, great save to be fair. They look a bit asleep at the back.

Shukes
To be fair he has opened them up twice already, theu have marked him as one to stop. He will annoy them all match now and one of them will go. Rom does look a bit sharper tonight.
Newty82
We've tried a few long punts from the back which gave gone straight to them. I know which style I prefer!
