markjazzbassist
Always a fun one this. I understand the transfer window isn't done yet but let's see some early predictions and feel free to modify after the deadline. Cornish Steve
I have no idea. No team has yet played a single game. Ask around Christmas time.
markjazzbassist
I have no idea. No team has yet played a single game. Ask around Christmas time. You're missing the point Steve. It's a simple prediction thread. I was way off last year had picked Sunderland qpr and soton due to their sell off. It's fun
Cornish Steve
Based on the current league standings, then, it will have to be West Brom, West Ham, and Watford. (Why are the W teams always so bad?) If you were to force me to answer, then it would be Norwich, Watford, and Sunderland.

markjazzbassist
A lot of people picking the 3 promoted teams. Has the TV money made the transition that difficult that it's almost insurmountable? We will see.

We will see. I just think that the promoted teams need to do what swansea did and have some luck with their first 11 staying injury free - buy wise and then strengthen from there. markjazzbassist and Matt

MikeO
A lot of people picking the 3 promoted teams. Has the TV money made the transition that difficult that it's almost insurmountable? We will see. I think probably two of them will go down; one of them will have a decent run and stay up, hope it's Bournemouth. So I'll go Watford, Norwich and Villa. markjazzbassist
pete0
Sunderland, Norwich and Villa. Clear divide between the likes of Stoke and Swansea to relegation candidates now. Out of last seasons bunch I only think Newcastle, Villa, WBA, and Sunderland could be relegated... unless we play Kone every week.

markjazzbassist
Well I said Norwich watford Sunderland originally. Think I'll be right about Sunderland. Honestly with current form I can see Swansea going down and Norwich too. Newcastle seem to have righted the ship and are getting results now. Lowensda
Right January Window's now shut and teams have done their business. Clubs spends. Club Money spent Newcastle £29m Norwich £20.3m Stoke £18.3m Watford £18.2m Bournemouth £17.2m Everton £16.5m Sunderland £14.75m Leicester £8.95m Swansea £8m Liverpool £5.1m Arsenal £5m Southampton £4m West Ham £3.75m Chelsea £3.5m Man City £0.15m Crystal Palace £0m West Brom £0m Aston Villa £0m Man Utd £0m Tottenham £0m Who do you think will get relegated now? Looking at the table; Down - Villa are a cert for me. Terrible Aston Villa team. Awful manager. No new signings. White flag from them, already given up in my opinion. Sunderland. Don't particularly rate them and always have the potential to implode and go on a run of 6/7 defeats. Bournemouth. Play the right way. Bought in good players. But a bit too weak for the league IMO. They won't finish bottom, but it's between them and Sunderland. Survive - Norwich. Bought very sensibly, bought good solid players. Naismith alone could help massively. Hard work will scrape survival. Newcastle. Spent a lot of money but bought in areas they needed. Think they'll have enough quality to survive. Swansea. Just. Injuries to one or two players and they'll be in trouble but they already have enough to claw points. My revised predictions post January - Manchester City Arsenal Tottenham Hotspur Manchester United Leicester City Liverpool West Ham United Chelsea Southampton Stoke City Everton Swansea City Watford Newcastle United Crystal Palace Norwich City West Bromwich Albion Sunderland AFC Bournemouth Aston Villa Edited February 2, 2016 by Lowensda
MikeO
I think Bournemouth will stay up (admittedly I have the win tonight to add to the mix); Villa, Sunderland and Norwich for me, though I'd rather Newcastle replaced one of the last two. Villa are buried (Martin O'Neill's fault obviously). Matt

Cornish Steve
I can't see Hull escaping. In addition, despite their higher profile managers, I suspect Sunderland and Palace will join them.
