Isaiah
Really, really want this to be true but the Debbie Downer in me keeps reminding myself that this time yesterday many of these same sources were adamant Mina was done and dusted and that he'd be announced today. We'll see I guess. Not good for the nervous system all this.

Finn balor
This is a statement signing. No wonder we got rid of klassen and Rooney. He is twice the player and half the wages

Myers especially is the one I look to... haven’t seen him announce anything prematurely that hasn’t come through. He was the first to cool the Mina rumors yesterday. I dont think people like Myers or Kirkbride were that big on the Mina deal whereas they are for this. This is Everton though so I am going to wait until its announced! You couldn't play Gana holding midfield for 2 reasons he would leave his position because he is attracted to the ball like a magnet no matter where it is on the pitch, also he would be expected to play out from the back and feed the ball to others to get us on the front foot, be he doesn't possess the ability to move the ball with the pace and accuracy required he would give the ball away to much in dangerous areas and put us on the back foot. It's amazing, we are signing a truly great player and what happens? Gana debate infects the thread, dear lord its like Haff and Lukaku all over again. StevO
It would really be interesting to see this guy in a three with Gylfi and Morgan, with our already exciting front three. Can I really get excited?
Btay
McCarthy would be ideal with siggy and Bernard in front. Gana roams. Morgan let’s players ghost past him. Besic maybe for what he has over McCarthy on the ball he loses in discipline.
Cornish Steve
The downer in that article is that our principal target now is Rojo. I certainly hope not.
nogs
I hate to be a party pooper and Bernard would be/is a great signing, but we simply CANNOT afford to play our current back four and a front five of Sig, Bernard, Walcott, Tosun and Richarlison. It would be like Martinez on meth, we score 4, that score 8, three of them in injury time every week. I mean I love open attacking football, but come on... Teams won’t push forward against us so quickly with such a potent attack though. Defence needs work but from last year we have digne and Coleman to include. Add a solid CB and our starting 11 could be excellent..
Peter H
won't allow myself to get excited until the photo of him in an Everton shirt is released. Happy that Myers seems to think it will happen. Would be a major major coup.
Peter H
Now if we get Mina, teams would fear us on the break AND on fixed ball situations. We would be a force forward.
