Think the £25 million being quoted is very good business.he seems a motivated lad just like the Sandro,Pickford and klassen

i'm surprised at the low fee but it's burnley. thought he was a dead cert for 30m guaranteed 35m with add ons. young, enlglish, solid.

He's inside of the last 12 months of his deal. They're doing well to get £25m.

This is my thinking! They're having a stormer at £25mill with 12months left on his contract.

Makes our supposed price for Barkley and Lukaku make sense.

Why isn't this announced yet? Doesn't he want to be here?

If he keeps dragging his feet we should tell him and Burnley to fuck off!

About bloody time haha!

What took you?

What a summer we are having haha!

Sell out for every game this season, think he's building a team to fill the new ground, this is déjà vu for me, had it all in the sixties with John Moore's millionaires.

I believe there are good times ahead.

And from an experienced fan like yourself...that is lovely to read! Music to the eyes!

I am amazed that the club has acted in this way. 5 really good signings already in the bag and its the 4th July.

Im just so fucking happy at the moment. Keane is probably my fave signing so far. That could change the way the club is acting.

Still, we all know that Barkley and Lukaku are leaving and im hoping that the club isnt finished yet because these 5 signings were needed even before we lose 2 of our best players.

Have to put my hand up for saying I'd rather Harry Macguire from hull at the start of the year. Hadn't seen much of Keane at that point but from what I had seen towards the end of the season I'm stoked. Great business, right player for Everton

Said the exact same myself buddy, and sticking to it. Nothing against Keane I think he's a good buy, but I hope I'm wrong.

Fair enough, after learning more about him and his personality - I see him like jags with just a bit more ability about him.

Got a team of lads who know the score.... this lad is a leader and along with the like of pickford, Davies, lookman will be making up the leadership core of the England side in 4 years.

I remember us saying similar about Stones not so long ago...

Keane and possibly Pickford I can see being potential leaders, but it's a bit early to pin anything on Davies and Lookman yet.

I'm happy with the strong characters Koeman is bringing into the team for sure though.

Don't think Davies is a leader. Passionate but I get the impression he'd be the last to speak out about something. Lookman is timid.

Pickford, absolutely.

Keane, Pickford, Sneiderlin, Rooney are the only 4 I feel could be worthy captains. I know some like Williams and Klaassen have been captains respectively but in this current squad, I don't think they'd be outspoken enough imo.

Coleman should be added, and if Besic was fit long enough I'd throw him into the mix too (personality wise, don't think he should be a contender).

Don't forget Davies is only 19. He's been called a born leader... captained England under 16's 17's and 19's.

You don't have to be an animated Tommy gravesen.... lead by example and know what you are meant to be doing.

Having been a part of several organizations, not every good leader I've encountered is the type-A, dominant, outspoken type. A leader must command respect, set an example, and be able to convey their message/values but that can take shape in many forms.

This is how I feel watching him play.

Love the guy already.

Great in the air. Great at reading the game. Strong. Deceptively quick.

Now get VVD and that's a central partnership to behold!!

He seems to be very switched on, and a professional.

Knows what's best for his career, moved away from United to get first team football and develop, then moved here and in the process (depending on the level of interest) ignored interest from the Shite and Man U - because he knows he will play more here.

I have no doubt in my mind that in the next few seasons he will develop into one of the league's best centre halfs, and I don't think there will be many more suited to leading the England defence in a few seasons.

Basically he's looking to play regularly and leave us once he reaches that "next level".

Why would any player join any team to prove their worth and not want to progress and make it to the highest levels of the sport?
