He certainly looks like he can do the job going forward. I'll admit that I have no idea how well he defends but I'd agree with other comments that if he has gotten caps for France he is likely to be at least decent in that regard. They talked about Europe being the deciding factor on how big they go with the squad, but it looks to me like they have gone for two in each position. Make yourself undroppable lad would be my advice, anyway he's on loan for a year surely so he has no chance of leaving in Jan (though I didn't personally write up his contract so that might be erroneous).
