US Politics/Biden Presidency (Trump-free zone)

coming out now that Trump asked Comey to shut down the Flynn investigation and also asked him to consider putting reporters in prison if they printed classified info.

no need to make up claims, Trump is sinking his own ship.

This is Trumps only plus-point over Pence and Ryan; when he's being incompetent / a dick / illegal, he at least doesn't hide it

Trump is the equivalent of a suicide bomber in the world of politics, the only thing that is saving him is that no one in the States has the bollocks to out him, what a piss poor democracy the States have politics based on fear of retribution.

They deserve him.

false, no one can out him because his party have majority in both House and Senate. Be like May being the same but the tories have a majority all by themselves over 66%, nothing the other people can do.

My point is more that no one has the bollocks to go head to head with him, if any politician had done or said the things he has in this country they would be publicly slaughtered, he gets worse by the weeks because no one or body has the bollocks to confront him.

your argument is moot, you had a politician get re-elected on the premise of leaving the EU. Pot kettle

That's not really true though, is it? Dems are already calling for his impeachment and Repubs probably aren't too far behind them as they have a motive to save their party. Trump is being publicly slaughtered everyday by almost every news organization and his approval rating is dropping along the way. He won't last the full term.

Seriously though, get off your high horse. Saying any country/nation deserves a shitty leader is pretty shitty in and of itself.

What amazes me is that his supporters are unmoved. They believe that insiders and the media are out to get him, so they believe none of these reports. Indeed, their attacks on Trump's opponents are becoming more and more intense. We had an election last night in our district, and the Republicans won with a bigger majority than in the recent election. In a couple of weeks' time, our district will have a run-off election for the House, and the Republican leads in the polls for that one, too. It's very depressing.

In the meantime, just think about this:

1) President Trump and his team are accused of collaboration with the Russians

2) When the FBI investigates, the president privately asks the FBI chief to stop it

3) President Trump asks the FBI chief to imprison journalists who report on his misdoings

4) The FBI chief refuses to be swayed, so the president fires him

5) The very next day, the president meets with the Russians and reveals classified information

6) The president bans all US journalists from that meeting, but a Russian photographer is allowed

7) The US, it seems, has no transcripts of the meeting, but the Russians do and offer a copy to President Trump

8) President Putin publicly defends President Trump and offers to speak on his behalf before the US Congress

Yes, they do have the bollocks. Jason Chaffetz, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John Kasich, among others, are on his case. Then there's this guy..

Spot on Steve. My parents and brother are conservatives and I hung out with them tonight and asked their thoughts. They mimicked your first paragraph. The media is out to get him, he did nothing wrong, if the president asked comey to get rid of the Flynn investigation he should have, that's an order from the president! These were real statements.

They're delusional Steve and the fox brainwashing has worked. Hook line and sinker.

1) his team yes; Trump not so much

2) in the mind of Trump, probably a fair question

3) he asked if there is anything to be done about journalists reporting on classified information.. doesn't seem odd given how he talked about libel laws a lot during the campaign, and given his hatred for the mainstream media

4) firing someone? definitely Trumpesque

5) Trump bragging about how he knows more than other people

6) Trump has been fighting (fake) media for months

7) Putin trolling

8) Putin trolling

ask yourself, given his record as a businessman and his past behaviour, isn't everything he has done so far what was to be expected?

he is no more unfit to be president now, than he was before the election. unlikely his supporters will change their opinion now.

This.

When you consider that the option was Hillary it certainly made abstaining seem attractive.

He's best friends with the Saudi dictatorship(/kingdom), and with other authoritarian rulers.. but when he meets free trading liberal democracies he starts ranting without knowing what he's talking about.

That article is quite charitable, this one uses the trade data to expose his complete stupidity on this subject
