You can't even keep up! it does give credence to the argument that politicians are in fact the best at politics. they know the games, know how to talk, know how to get things done in bureaucracy and do it while being at least moderately classy (not saying they are perfect, but better than this). this "businessman running the government" approach has shown to be rough shod and like you said a PR nightmare. business and government are 2 completely different things and should stay that way. In this election, the parties don't each nominate a candidate; instead, anyone can stand under whatever party banner they wish. There are five Democrats, eleven Republicans, and a couple of Independents - 18 in all. If the winner does not get 50%, there will be a run-off between the top two. They've just started counting, and it looks like one of the Democrats, John Ossoff, might actually get over 50% and win the seat. If this happens, it will be a major headline and huge early rebuttal of President Trump. This is a heavily Republican district that voted or him in the presidential election. My second son voted. My younger daughter (in college in Tennessee) wanted to vote, but she can't because they didn't send out the mail-in ballots in time.
