markjazzbassist
I'd like us to go after Navas... He had single handedly saved that real team so many times this season. He is so underrated. What a player. If they do go for de gea we should offer stupid money for him. He's worth it

Matt
Is Navas for sale?not yet. But if the rumours of De Gea or Courtois are true, things might change
Peter H
Let's reset our expectations of cash being spent.  £40m yesteryear was beyond huge.  With the new owners money - perhaps this is akin to spending £10m?  He's probably in the top 5-6 in the word. Do it.  Strong spine to the team and all that. Yeah because if you have a bit of money you might aswell splash it around on stupid bling bling. We are not from Essex you know
EFC-Paul
No way he 5-6 in the world.  Neuer Oblak Navas De gea Ter stegen Gigi Buffon Courtois Casillas Claudio bravo Trapp  Wouldn't even put him top ten. He's as good as a few of those IMO Casillas shouldn't be anywhere near that list

StevO
Cech? I think he's been poor by his own standards. Casillas isn't half the player he was five years ago. Â In the premier league I'd only have Lloris, De Gae and Cortouis before Hart. There are a few decent keepers out there, but Hart has been very consistent over the last three or four years. I'd say he had a few months blip and he got dropped, but after that he's been pretty solid.
Matt
Begovic might be fed up of bench warming but I'd like someone better

StevO
In Portugal? It's hardly a top league. Cech has made some howlers this year that we never saw years back at Chelsea. I think the year sat on the bench dropped his standards.
Steve_E
Casillas isn't good enough anymore to play for Porto, he isn't better than Hart.
Paddock
Can't believe any blue wouldn't want Hart. He's a top top keeper and would improve us massively. Â He'd also be a huge signing by the club. It won't happen though.

Guest rusty747
Hart is an improvement on what we have at the moment but I think we need a younger, up and coming 'keeper, with a big personality who can organise, and bollock, the back four. A big ask I know. Â Oh for another Southall. Romey 1878

rubecula
We need to wait until we get a manager to give a real opinion IMO as we have no idea if we will actually go for him and at what price.
MC11
Would be an absolutely class signing. If they replace him I'd assume he'd be available for £20-£25m
StevO
I agree MC. If he became available I don think there would be that many big clubs looking for him as most are covered, but it would be a big statement of intent from us. That's what we need now, show the world what we want to do.
c1982
England goalkeeper Joe Hart, 29, could be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium with Guardiola keen to complete a £20m deal for Barcelona's 24-year-old German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. (Sunday Times)  This could be big news for us.

Aidan
I've sat here and watched people moan about the likes of Mata and Witsel, which to me are very good targets for a club like us looking to go forward, the people that are moaning seemingly want better, which isn't really possible. Â Now Joe Hart, IMO is a dreadful keeper who is well thought of because he plays for a big club. Please look elsewhere if there is any truth in this, I'd literally rather have Krul or even Robles starting between the sticks next season. London Blue
I think Hart is a quality keeper, the last couple of seasons he has not been as good, but I think allot of that is due to the City defense being poor. Coming to us, a new challenge may be what he needs to kick on.
StevO
I think he's better than we have, and I think he would have been a big upgrade on Howard too. And it's a big name, which is important if we are trying to progress.
EFC-Paul
Good keeper but not great, I'd be very happy to have him as he's better than what we have but it would all come down to cost for me if he wants to retain his astronomical wages then I'd look elsewhere
markjazzbassist
He's awful hell no Tim Howard part 2. The only reason some like him is he's English. No thanks.
Paddock
I think he's better than anything we could hope for. Anyone turning their nose up at him when we have had Howard and Robles is stark raving mad.
