Morgan Schneiderlin

I definitely think we should go up to at least 22 to get him -- I understand they want to recoup the fee they paid for him, but they also aren't playing him lending the impression they (Mou, at least) don't rate him as highly as they originally thought.

I'm not buying into this haggle over 6mil. When you factor in wages etc it's buttons.

I suspect the issue is more over how the fee is paid.

Half a clown-shoes.

Throwing millions away where not essential can be the difference later down the line. We've been forced and then lived through operating in the red, its cost us dearly, and we still aint clear.

Time to operate like every penny counts, if the club fancy being lenient then reward the long serving foilk that turn up with lesser priced tickets and change from a £20 note for a beer, hotdog and roll of sweets.

Home is where the heart is, theres supposed to be a ground move coming, rewarding those that have suffered might entice them to uproot and become part of the new face, atmosphere, construct of the club. See how to avoid the West Ham disease currently ruining a club run by deviants.

I don't mind paying more if it means better investment in the team.

I'm talking about Utd. They won't give 2 hoots about 6 mil when he probably earns half a million a month. If they keep him another 6 months that's mostly his fee there and then let along bonuses etc.

Imagine if we had a CEO who wasn't such a useless nugget. Maybe we wouldn't be saddled with shite commercial deals, ridiculous contract for our ex manager meaning a 10m pay off and such.

I await the odious tanned pricks agm spin tonight where he blames league position on revenue.

The green light for Niasse was criminal, and £11.25 million for clown-shoes pay off.

Theres some pressure on tonight isn't there, I wonder if those in the hot seats all run out together to start the meeting to z-cars.

This is the one I want most of all this window. Him and Gueye in midfield will hopefully see an improvement in Barkley. I think Mirallas will be ok to start but we need another winger and striker and centre half and goalie.

I agree with all of that, plus another ACM.

think this will be done before EOW, needs time to settle plus he hasn't played match for sometime so will need time to come upto speed, thankfully he wont need to adapt to Koemans style!. excited by this deal him and Gana will be a solid pairing in the middle hopewe pull it off. Agree think 22.5 will be the price aswell!

I'm happy to give Robles a go for the rest of the season although wouldnt say no To Heaton or Forster

Still think its an area we need to strengthen, neither keeper instils me with confidence especially given our back 4 are not rock solid

i think Robles deserves until the end of the season, to truly show is ability or lack thereof. I've always had a lot of faith in him, so hoping he proves me right

Both keepers have shown that they are only good when it facing shots.

Steak can look like a keeper and can make some great saves... but suffers from Howard syndrome and will fuck up!

Robles can catch better but doesn't save much.

We need a better keeper.

But I am not sure Schneiderlin is the answer! Hardly uses his hands and not sure he commands the box.

He's not a top class keeper which is what we need if we want to ever break into the top 4.

Decent back up but he's no Courtois, De Gea, Lloris, Chec or Hart.

Forster or Butland for me ??

not saying he is, but I've personally seen enough from him to say he's an adequate starter. For the money it's take to get Forster or Butland (not to mention my pipe dream choice Ter Stegen), I honestly don't think we'd see a massive improvement (especially if the defence isn't sorted) and at 26 he's got his best years ahead of him over the next 8-10 years. He just needs, like every player, a sustained run of games. Every time he's had a handful, we're a lot more successful than the alternate keeper (Howard or Stek)

We need a better keeper if we want any chance of breaking in to the top four in next two years.

Nearly all successful teams have a worldy keeper, in our case when we were flying in the eighties if we didn't have big Nev we wouldn't have been as successful as were.

Stekkers and Robles aren't good enough to get us seriously challenging for top four spot.

A top class 'keeper is worth 10 points or so a season whereas a dodgy 'keeper will cost you 5-10 points a season.

Just add 15-20 points onto our recent league totals and see where that would have put us.

Just one half decent season in Europe would have paid for a world class 'keeper several times over.

I'm with you on Robles Matt.

We need this deal done before city. Surely united would want him in our team as it increases chances of us taking points from city, although that's very short sighted

Agreed, id love either of these at Everton.

Seems to be a lot of unrest at Stoke at the min, Bojan will be putting in a transfer request apparantly. Butland for 20m? i couldnt imagine more than that, money well spent imo.

I think signing Schneiderlin will help with the defence, him and Gana in mid could be a perfect fit and fresh legs instead of Barry will certainly help the defence.

Defo Dean, I would spunk 30 on Butland personally. I'd be happy with Schneiderlan , Butland and a good striker this window.

Think Butland is out for 6 months isnt he? I dont think Mark Hughes will be at Stoke much longer, just have a feeling. The summer could be a perfect time to make an offer for Butland.

Rumours that Schneiderlin is having a medical today at finch farm!

Rumours abound he's on his way for a medical. Apparantly Sky said it and it's in the Manchester Evening News.

No idea how true that is as I'm out and about atm so not watching Sky.

the fact that they want their money back after letting him rot on the bench is astounding arrogance. £18m plus add ons based on appearances.

Pay the fucking 24 million and get him in asap , we always dither about with things like this and it drags on and invariably someone sneaks in and robs the player from under our noses.

Pay the till and get him sugned it's that simple for me.

This. No way should we be paying near what they bought him for when he hasn't played all season due to the "special one" wanting to throw his arrogance around.

I don't care what they paid for him, 24 mil isn't a lot for a proven premier league French international.

Not many clubs will be parting with players who are priven to have the quality for the prem.

Just sign the lad, he's a decent age and we know he can fit straight in.

Yeah agree with you totally, fuck the fact Jose hasn't played him if we think he's that good then pay the cash, £24m is fuck all these days! How much did they pay for Fellini of us?? I know which one I'd rather have at the moment!

Does anyone else not question why this deal wasn't made earlier? The transfer can only go through on Jan 1st but surely the two clubs could have come to an agreement in December or earlier? Maybe they have and Utd are waiting on someone else to come in first?

Mourinho said in his presser that 2 weeks ago a transfer looked 100% but now it looks 0% because they don't feel the offer is good enough.

I hope that was West Brom and not us because if it's us there's clearly something amiss.

mou is being a typical ass and saying we haven't receieved offers that equal their value. cheap motherfucker.

will be a deadline day move for 23.5m, bill will tout that he saved the club 500k

No idea how reliable this is but he got stuff right in the summer.

Please let this go through in the next day or so Everton somI can take a tiny step down the road to actually feeling positive about something I read about us.

Not another one forward and two back please ??
