Might be worth a thread of its own this, but what do you think the strategy is with the U23s? We seemed to start signing promising youngsters at 18/19 (ie post Academy age) under Moyes and it has kept going. Very few have made the first team, but our youth set up looks very strong. We've just beaten Bolton, who are top of League 1, with a team full of U19s, and just sold one of those young signings for something like a 1000% profit.

So is it all about business and making money, or is Unsworth plotting a future all-conquering first team with these youngsters?

Spend 1m on 15 youngsters and hope 1 turns out to be stones or holgate or the like who you can have as a first team or sell for more than the 15m you invested in those youngsters.

Simple game of numbers.
