bluenosetoffee
I like Pickford, I love how he makes a save but then pings the ball out straight away. I would have loved Lukaku to have been in the team with Pickford, this is what he was calling out for was quick to get the ball out and that he could take on his man. I am living in the past but I think Pickford is that good, the save at the end of the stoke game, saved us 2 points. Then the saves he was making yesterday and screaming at the players, England next no.1 definitely. I don't think Butland has a scratch on him. If a player struggles to control a 15 yard pass played to him - I struggle to see how he will control a 50 yard fizzer. The one thing we are seeing up front is a better ball retention and control - the Gana goal and Rooney chance was evidence of this.

Sibdane
My mouth literally fell open as I watched it happen from the Lower Gwladys. I love how he picked the ball up and immediately looked for the pass to make! Perfect distribution there.
Newty82
My mouth literally fell open as I watched it happen from the Lower Gwladys. Same...well, kind of 'same' except I was watching it on my phone in Santa Ponsa.
pete0
Second biggest highlight of the game for me. The second goal being top. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement from me. Made up we've finally replaced Martyn, and he could be even better, potentially up there with Nev. I was only expecting a slight upgrade on Joel. markjazzbassist
still too early for me to make an assessment on him, but happy with him so far. Matt

duncanmckenzieismagic
He is without doubt the real deal, I have never in my life seen a keeper who's distribution is even half as good as Pickford The really pleasing thing for me is that he has been a spectaor for the most part but can then pull of a world class save Romey 1878 and MikeO

He doesn't just hoof the ball either. He puts some drive behind it so it gets to his man quickly. Great technique.

I am absolutely over the moon that we got him.
EFC-Paul
The kids special said all along he's quality from seeing a bit of him whilst at Preston Early days but he's got a massive future ahead of him, definitely the best of the English crop for me

pete0
anyone still want joe hart? Only conceded 7 goals in two games. He's the Zoolander of goalkeepers, he can't go left. markjazzbassist
Newty82
Thought he looked nervous last night. Made a couple of good stops but seemed a bit hesitant at times. And his kicking game was well off.
StevO
His kicking with his right foot was poor. Not that bad with his left. He's not strong on his right foot under pressure. Still, great saves and still commanding. Love the kid!
Bailey
I just dont think he was at it kicking wise yesterday, left or right foot. In fairness he probably kicked it more last night than he would have to in a weeks worth of training. Matt
Palfy
Must be a nightmare for keepers when your area has around 15 or so players in or around it for a majority of the game, you see everything late and hardly anytime to get yourself set and react, he did a brilliant job given the amount of pressure he would have felt under and only a kid, what a great prospect we have. Paddock
This is going to be a really unpopular shout - but we saw his weakness last night. He'll get beat from distance a lot

Paddock
Based on that one goal or based other things too??? Based on the fact he's only small for a keeper. Watch- I bet you he gets beaten long range wuite a lot. I'm not knocking the lad, made up with him so far but all keepers have an achillea heel and that will be his. pete0
I don't think any keeper would have got that tbf. The balls are that round and light now the movement is unpredictable if you smash it leaving the keeper with little chance not to guess. How people are writing him off, I have no idea. Kept us in the comp imo.
aaron
The shot that beat him took a deflection off Baines, gave it the swerve that put it past him, I have no worries with him. First time since Martyn I've trusted the keeper.
Matt
I was more impressed with his save in the first half. He's 6'1" which isn't small, and to get down to the ground from such a short range shot was incredible - more impressive than the penalty save for me
Hafnia
He's "on it".... Southall had the same intensity. Very impressive.
