markjazzbassist
The international break is between Chelsea and this match, hopefully it gives everyone a breather and koeman some time to really tweak the tactics in our favor. Barry is out due to suspension and the usual suspects are on the physio table. I really hope the time off allows baines to be back at full health, we need him badly. Stek Coleman Jags Williams Baines Gana Barkley Gerry Mirallas Bolasie Lukaku

Lenton to start.

Romey 1878
At least no one has suggested 3 at the back. So that's one positive from yesterday.
rubecula
At least no one has suggested 3 at the back. So that's one positive from yesterday. Maybe so, but it is up to Koeman. Pity he doesn't follow the forum.
Guest rusty747
If we did three at the back properly it might work. But I do agree that it is not appropriate for the Swansea game and we need a change of system and personnel as much for psychological reasons as tactical. 4-1-3-2 Robles Coleman Williams. Mori. Baines Gueye Lennon. Barkley. Mirallas Bolasie. Lukaku If it goes to ratshit we can revert 4-2-3-1 by dropping Barkley back alongside Gueye, move Mirallas into cm and Bolasie onto lw. Shukes
This is why we shouldn't put Ross up there. He is very good in the air, but has no desire to back the striker up. Lukaku needs a partner.

brisbaneblue
Why Funes Mori over Jags out of interest? Jags has been poor his past two or three starts. I don't think he deserves another one, at least not against Swansea. I'm not a big Funes Mori fan but who else do we have that can play CB? I'd say possibly Holgate but he's yet to prove himself at CB. Funes Mori is the next best option we have IMO..
Guest rusty747
I love Jags but I have to agree. I think age has caught up with him.
Palfy
Williams and Funes Mori together with Williams experience could be a great help for the young lad he's got the heart and ability just needs the guidance
Cornish Steve
Playing the bottom team at home after the recent rout, I say give the youngsters a chance to shine. Take out Coleman, Mirallas, and Lennon and instead play Holgate, Davies, and Lewin.
Aidan
I just dislike funes Mori, heavily! Haha. I don't know what to do. I'd personally choose Jags I don't think he has been too inconsistent.
Kev627
If we don't win this by at least 2 clear goals I can see us finishing in the bottom half of the table! :I surrender:
Bill
These are the sort of games we do not win, Bournemouth, Burnley, and Norwich come to mind.
Palfy
should have stuck Palace in there as well that's why we will struggle to finish in top ten
Bailey
We defended best with Williams, Jags, Coleman and Baines so they would be my back 4 fitness permitting. I would probably drop Stek but I doubt it will happen.
London Blue
There is something up with jags,I'm not sure what but his head is gone. Maybe a move to Sunderland in January? Has to be Williams and Mori for me.

Bill
It might be Cleverly for McCarthy.
Guest rusty747
Koeman does seem to like Cleverley but I would put Jimmy Mac in and tell him he has a point to prove. Cleverley could replace him after about an hour with the game, hopefully, already won.

Palfy
Hope not I've called it a draw thinking that should be as bad as it gets, hope they prove me wrong and win at least 3-0. Don't wish to tempt fate but can you change your mind on a result after you've already posted it.
