Romey 1878
I don't go back to say "I told you so" often on this forum... but I will hold you on that one! Haha no problem! I'm as confident about this as I was when I said I'd eat the bricks of my house if we signed Moutinho. I did have a few worried moments with that one though . EFC-Paul
Just watching the Arsenal game and only seen very little of him previously and didn't realise what a unit the lad is, he's a big fucker for his age!! I like the look of him tbh he looks very solid and composed

Matt
Was very composed heading it back to the keeper in the first half from the 6 yard line
badaids
Never heard of him until I watched Hull just to how Niasse did. Been impressed since then, solid defender, composed and surprisingly good on the ball, looks good in a struggling team now that Silva is in. I'd have no problem taking a risk on him if the price was right.

EFC-Paul
This lad and Keane would be a potentially formidable pairing!
Romey 1878
Christ. He's not even as good as anything we've already got. Just a fat bastard. EFC-Paul
StevO
Had a decent game, but no where near our level.
Makis
Leicester won the PL with Huth and Morgan. It's not as much about having two worldies as having guys who work well together.

Makis
Defenders, especially from other clubs, are very difficult to judge. Most fans seem to struggle with defenders they watch every week. Many Evertonians thought Funes Mori is a good defender, after all. At least with forwards you can watch a Youtube clip...
duncanmckenzieismagic
Really, name 2. Jags, Williams and Holgate Romey 1878
StevO
He showed his quality and his flaws yesterday. He kept Rom pretty quiet for 75 minutes yesterday. But the game is 90 minutes long. For 15 minutes he didn't get close to Rom and the ball hit the back of the net three times. Does he lack concentration? Maybe lacks a bit of stamina? Could be a problem due to the weight he carries. He has potential, but I'd rather Keane. Our three are all better than him. Jags showed yesterday the benefit of a defender who is just very clever. Guest rusty747
I am very impressed with the way Jags conducted himself while not playing and just as impressed with him now he is starting. Might be life in the old dog yet! markjazzbassist and Romey 1878
Aidan
Jags, Williams and Holgate Jags has been poor all season, Holgate is a kid and hasn't played enough for anyone to claim he's better than Mcquire. Williams is a top defender, but the only one we have that's better imo.

London Blue
Jags, Williams and Holgate Williams, yes. Jags is past it, Holgate is not there yet.
StevO
Might be the case Matt, but a top player should be able to deal with losing a man. They moved a forward back, so no need to effect Maguires job on Rom.
