Paddock
Fuck off with Vardy- no no no no. If we signed him I would be absolutely furious the little ferret faced weapon.
Finn balor
I think vardy is just the type of player we need. Fast, direct reminds me of tomaz radzinski who changed defence to attack in a few seconds

Fast, direct reminds me of tomaz radzinski who changed defence to attack in a few seconds He has the major draw back of being a cunt. Plus his finishing is so inconsistent. barryj
Everton are making a bid to hijack Chelsea's £40m move for Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, with boss Ronald Koeman keen to make the England striker his final summer signing. smeghead1
That's an awful big lay out for a player you will get no return on. But we desperately need someone quick to run in.behind defences dunno if I'd go for him tho there must be someone less of a tosser out there. Matt
Better than some of the others were linked with, but the money and attitude of the man... no thanks.
Aidan
Tenacious, unbelievably quick, can finish, works very hard, wins penalties, a good player. Not for 40m though, but why would Leicester sell him at a lower price they need him.
Romey 1878
At this point I'm that desperate for someone in our side with a bit of get up and go that it doesn't look as bad as it would've done a couple of months ago. Hafnia
My ability to judge player vs cash expenditure is clouded given recent transfers.... I'll judge him on the player itself... not a bad option at all. Presses high, works hard, plenty of pace, late to the game so he has time on his side. Knows where the net is... But.... £40m for a 30 year old though.... ffs. But he would work well with Rooney and DCL I think we are at a stage where we may need some non cost effective signings to help us breach the top 4 whete we can ontain those elite players at a better price value for age etc. Edited August 27, 2017 by Hafnia
pete0
The club need new scouts if they can't find a better player, or a younger one just as good. Walsh was at Leicester when they were willing to let him go for buttons. They must have had others lined up, go for one of them.

The only time I was aware of Leicester letting him go was to arsenal for £40m. That's when £40m was like £60m today.

Crazy how things can change. Is this another point for Walsh judgement? I've no doubt that the club have it's list of targets from the Walsh - Koeman partnership. jofanon
Would rather see more of a target man. We need someone to be on the end of Sigs crosses
rubecula
Vardy to Everton sounds as likely as Rubes to Mars
scouse
think his age is ruling him out here especially at that price - ability wise its a no brainer but cant see us spending that amount on a 30 year old.
Bill
We are fighting with Chelsea for £40m Vardy. This sounds like we can't get the player we want, and this is a bit of a panic.
Sibdane
That would be a criminal price to pay for him, but we need a damn striker.

London Blue
Don't want him here, and I hope that Leicester will refuse to sell this late in the window.

Sibdane
I don't know how successful he'd be here. He'd add some pace up top but we don't play like Leicester. I don't think it would be as useful for us as it is for them.
