Theo Walcott

None of those players would even consider coming here though Nogs.

OK, so I can accept that Walcott might add something going forward. More end product than Bolasie and Lennon, more experience than Lookman and Vlasic. And I can just about accept from the noises he has made that Allardyce is going to try and muddle through with a combination of Baines, Martina and then possibly Garbutt and/or Galloway at left back.

But what the fuck is he going to do about the fact that we are absolute garbage in the centre of midfield, and every single one of our available centre backs are regularly making individual errors that lead to goals?

Holgate and Williams look our most effective partnership till either Keane gets back to form, or we get a replacement for Jags and Williams in the Summer.

In Centre midfield we have options, too many options and we need to reduce that by selling Besic, and McCarthy, and using one of Schneiderlin OR Gana in midfield as a holding player with someone like Davies who gets us moving forward. Have attacking wingers like Wolcott,  Bolasie, Vlasic and a experienced forward so that we can stretch defenses and give our midfielders someone pass to.

Davies is the only one of those central players I'd keep. Gana and Schneiderlin have been terrible this season, McCarthy just hasn't got the body to play the game he tries to play.

Schneiderlin was very good last season, as was Gana, its just they cannot play in the same side.

McCarthy should be sold.

Pinched this off Twitter, if the lad stays fit he's a massive commodity imo

Last season Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas and Aaron Lennon (combined) scored 6 goals. Theo Walcott scored 19. Since 2014/15 Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas and Aaron Lennon have scored 41 goals (combined). The majority of which was Mirallas. Theo Walcott has scored 39.

Everton need to overpay a top talent and build around him. Mahrez, Sanchez, Mikky, Silva type that are very good on the ball and result in defenders sitting off them. Only then will the likes of Lennon, Theo, Rooney, Siggy etc... be affective.

We haven’t got that player and until we do no new signing will matter.

20m for a proven premier league player who scores goals? You must be mad, that's a bargain in today's economy.

Or would you rather have a go at getting Sanchez? Let's be realistic, we don't have the luxury of very good players being interested in us.

Just to reiterate though 20m is a very low risk fee.

20m is low risk if a player does well. When they play like Klaassen or Schneiderlin, it's a waste of money.

I hope he is fantastic for us.

The 'risk' is if the player does well. 20m is a low risk.

Schneiderlin is suffering from the rest of the team doing bad and Klassen wasn't a proven EPL player.

Another sign that he manager is confident of being here longer than the summer

Weather Sam is confident or not the fact is he was given a short term contract because Moshiri wants a "Name" as manager. The football and recent results have been dire. I seriously cannot see him here past the summer. Especially as its world cup year so there will be the additional managers from World Cup teams who leave their posts added to the usual list of available managers.

We'd be wasting money on a position where we have young talent desperate to break into the team even while it's as clear as day that we have a major problem with LB. For goodness sake, let's use the balance of the season to bleed in young talent on the wing and use cash to solve the problem called Martina.

Neither of the young wingers are good enough to play week in week out.

can not get excited by this, has not improved in his time at arsenal, he will try hard for 6 months to get in the England squad then next season be a bench warmer.

See this as a panic buy, we are not going to do anything this season so we should have waited till the summer. with bolasie on his way back and vlasic and lennon

Why do we need him.
