Our first in the run of winnable games in the league and this is a 3 points must for me and probably for Koeman as well.  As leaky as we are at the back they are just as much.  It's home, we've got to attack.  I'd go strong and keep rooney on the bench.

                         Pickford

        Holgate  Keane Jagielka

Davies   Gana Schneiderlin  Baines

                        Gylfi

              Sandro     DCL

Bournemouth have scored more than twice as many goals as us and have got Defoe.  We have got our usual space up front.

Bournemouth have scored three league goals and we've scored two.

If you include cup games they've scored five and we have six (from more games admittedly).

Where did you get your facts from John, Boris Johnson:P?

Mike, I had left my reading glasses in the car and it was raining!

In my defence, I did phone Diane Abbot and her answer was 'one hundred and thirty eight thousand, three hundred and twenty seven point seven five - approximately'.  Bit confused, so phoned Jeremy.  He said that he'd no idea as he supported Spartak Moscow.

"Hopefully Koeman doesn't make too many changes for Saturday because this victory will have done those players a world of good."

Imported this post from Romey 1878 in the Sunderland thread, as it gives us a good starting point to start thinking about Bournemouth in view of tonight's positive-to-strong result.

I assume Romey will not get his wish for few changes, but of course I could be wrong.  I assume all of Rooney, Baines, Schneiderlin, Gana, and Sigurdsson will start.  DCL, surely.  Davies or Klaassen, but not both? Niasse on bench.  No idea who will start at RB if it's a 4. Probably Martina at RWB if it's 3.

Ideally I'd like baines in for Williams with holgate to CB

pickford for stek

 Morgan for besic

Gylfi for Sandro

and that's it.

davies and klassen get forward and work hard so I think that's a good balanced attacking team. Get Rooney on to see out the game and Sandro for Vlasic when he tires.

here is my amended lineup now after the Cup match:

                                       Pickford

                   Holgate Keane Williams Baines

                   Davies          Gana      Gylfi

                   Vlasic          DCL        Sandro

Gana the lone sitter and davies and gylfi working hard to create but also track back and defend and press.  width with vlasic sandro.

I'd push Davies and Glyphi a bit further up personally, and Jags ahead of Williams;

Pickford

                   Holgate Keane Jags Baines

                   Gana

           Davies    Gylfi

                   Vlasic          DCL        Sandro

that's exactly how i want it, i just didn't move them up, just put in the 433 for formation sake.  but yes matt, that would be a nice lineup.  davies and gylfi offer enough defensively and creatively.

Is Rooney injured or something, how do none of you have him in the starting line up? Agree with it or not, he is a guaranteed starter against Bournmoth if fit.

The rest of the lineup...

Pickford

Martina, Keane, Jags, Baines

Gueye, Schneiderlin

?,  Rooney, Siggurdson

DCL

Wishful thinking.

Because he keeps DCL out of position. But yeah, fully expect him to lead the line
