From the start of David Moyes' tenure as Everton manager, which was your favorite season and why?

That Martinez first season.

I just thought we had it sussed. Thought that was the one. We'd finally cracked it and were back amongst it.

My heart says 08-09 because Timmy was still wearing a blue shirt but 13-14 was amazing. Perfect reason why they say it's the hope that kills you.

1984-1985...... My first season watching Everton. 

 

Voted for Roberto's first season. Best year watching Everton since the 80's

85-86.

Although we ended up double runners up, I was old enough to really get into football.

Had the Pannini sticker album. Then watched Lineker in the golden boot in the World Cup.

86 was my first season going the games and going to Wembley was special although we got beat.

Enjoyed the dogs of war in 94-95.

Favourite year tho is 87 watching that team was a joy, that's why I've gone with 2013-14 the football was great.

Same here. Group of young players and experiences pros who looked like they had it all in front of them. Shame.

As I was too young to fully appreciate the 80s EFC, my favourite season for ‘exciting football’ was 95-96. Loved that team but sadly things going on off the pitch stopped Royle building on the 95 success.

I went with Martinez’s 1st season from those on offer - was a very much pro Moyes and appreciate what he did but Martinez took us to another level; albeit very temporarily!

back then a year felt like an eternity Mike. 63 was filled with snow and my interest was not really on football.

Yes, it was. My brother was born at home because a blizzard prevented anyone from leaving the village.

Roberto’s first year, great football to watch and positivity all around the club, and some big transfers landed (Lukaku, Barry, mccarthy, etc).

 

ill never forget the absolute demolition of arsenal, 3-0 day after my son was born, I’m in the hospital and telling him “this is Everton, our team”.  Still gets me when I think about it.

First season under Martinez, we played the football I always dreamed of us playing, attacking, fast, assured, successful. 

When we finished 4th under Moyes with the "Dogs of war" is a close (ish) second.

2007-2008. Hands down. Look at the European journey and the squad as a whole it was the most balanced and had a lot of players just coming into their prime.

Went with Martinez better than watching Brazil that season, but the season's and team that will always be the greatest for me was 83- 84, 84-85.

Even though I have been fortunate enough to see the toffeemen win trophies for me it was 1977/78 the year we finished 4th with Thomas and the Latch causing havoc.  15 years of age and from St Helens to Goodison and in the paddock or park end it seemed cheap as chips "peoples game" at that time.
