Bailey Posted March 10, 2018 Report Share Posted March 10, 2018 That is probably our most pleasing half of the season so far. We are aggressive, we are positive, and we have a team of players that can actually play a bit of football. Baines coming in has made a huge difference to us containing them as he is really aggressive when pressing in midfield and he is always available down that side too. Rooney and Davies have been largely untroubled and between then they are doing a really good job of patrolling the midfield. With Siggy in midfield we are finding ways to get the ball forward and keep it on the deck, especially with Tosun linking play really well and the pace and trickery of Walcott and Bolasie. The former actually resembles something of a footballer again today, albeit one that still makes a horlicks of that final pass/touch/shot. If we stay patient and keep probing a goal will come in the second half, we dont need to force things as if we do we will be vulnerable on the counter.
