Not sure if you are watching it on TV or stadium but if you are watching it on TV, did you see the wide-angle replay? Sane ran to mid from wing, received a direct goal kick from the GK, eliminated the marker, one pass and boom. As you say, such a typical City goal.

In general, defenders are out of position, City outruns the midfield. These are 2 major problems for Everton.

Yeh on TV, it' something they do so often. Either have it nailed down or drop in and let them have it at the back.

3 nil.

Absolutely pathetic, and it's all on the manager. Games are won and lost in midfield: If you show up without one, you'll get slaughtered. All I can hear from the commentators is "City have so much space in midfield", "De Bruyne with all the time in the world", and so on - time after time after time. It's truly painful and embarrassing to watch. Crooked Sam has no clue.

This game will be a blessing in disguise. He can't hide between those lifeless victory's at home against the likes of west brom etc... This game will show the tactical inept of the man, the gulf in class between 1st and 8th... If you finish 8th in the league you may aswell finish 17th. This game will stick in the owners heads due to him being exposed for not having a fucking clue.

Well thats as timid as it gets really. If you are not on your game you will get ripped apart by City. Thats why it is so important for everyone to be on the same page, playing the same way, but our organisation is shocking. Players dont know whether to press or sit, whether to track the man or pass them on or to hold a position or man mark. We are sometimes pressing high but then at other times they are 30 yards from goal and we are giving them 5 yards of space to do what they like. We are basically in awe of them and afraid to get to close. We have too many un-athletic players by PL standards in one side in positions that matter. Its all well and good having Walcott or Bolasie on the wings but if your players in the middle arent tight enough, covering the ground, then you arent going to get the ball back or get any support in attack.

First goal Schneiderlin doesn't track Silva, second goal Jags doesn't follow Sane into the yawning gap in our midfield (where we're Schneiderlin and Rooney?), third goal Rooney gives up following Silva and gets aimlessly dragged to the ball. Fair play to City, they're brilliant, but fuck me we're not even making it difficult for them.

A seven goal pasting might mean the end for fat Sam, so I'm not bothered whatever the score, we were never going to win this game anyway.

We weren't. But it feels like we have yet again been sent out to be absolutely plastered so Allardyce can tell us, in his usual condescending manner, that this is why we should play 'More boring'.

Im not really sure what else Jags could do for the 2nd goal. First their is some communication issue with Coleman and Jags. They decide Coleman should push forward and Jags should take Sane, but then Sane is on the move into midfield. Our tactics were clearly to press so Rooney and Schneiderlin had pressed forward leaving the space. Jags isnt going to beat Sane for pace, especially not with a head start from from that point we are in loads of trouble. Jags who is on tilt at that point sells himself (knowing that the only way to stop them countering is to win the ball), Baines tries to intercept but sells himself as well, knowing they were already 3 v 2 and then it leaves the 3 v 1 against Keane.

The bottom line is, we just shouldnt be putting ourselves in that position. Let them have it from the goal kick. We have no pace, we cant play like that against City.
