China would be a possibility if someone offered him enough, not really bothered by a fee just get him off the wage bill.

China hasn’t crossed my mind but it could be a great path for some of our players that are clearly focused on financial benefits. I agree with above, clearing wages is a must so we kind of have to take what fee we can get.

Mostly just hoping to see some heavy dead wood and wage shifting, then bringing some youngsters through.

That said, Luka Jovic would be the (now unrealistic) ideal striker target.  Fulham could also be worth raiding, if some bargains can be had.  I still like Seri and Mitrovic would be a good fallback striker/Tosun replacement.  Sessegnon would be way too expensive and not an area of need, unless Richarlison gets sold.

Was thinking about mitrovic the other day. In terms of raiding Premier league clubs I think he may be the most viable option, or would people rather take a risk on an upcoming striker from abroad?

Price dependant.  Picking him up for Tosun sale money would be decent business.

yeah i'd take both of them for sure.  probably decently cheap and mitrovic has proven (unlike cenk) that he can score regularly in the premier league.  i haven't watched a lot of him to see what attributes he has (big?  pacy?  technical?) but we need strikers that can score.  Can he also play on the right or left?

Excellent option. I would have him in a snap. Perfect playerfor is. But I would imagine he would command a hefty fee.

One of the premierships hidden talents. Very strong, good pace, powerful shot, decent in the air. I’m surprised he isn’t already at one of the big boys.

Always been impressed when watching him.

Think 6 of his 10 have been headed goals, not sure how good he is with his feet finishing

Me neither, but weve got players who can provide good deliveries in to the box for him, also has a bit of "nasty" in him which were short of at the moment.

Agreed, Digne and Siggy aiming for his head would be a dream.

he's only 24, was he shit for newcastle just because they were so bad back then?  the more i read about him the more i like.  i wonder if fulham would try and hold us hostage for him.

Would be hoping that some of the Fulham players have the ol'relegation get out clause.

As for playing left/right, pretty sure he's pure CF (although could be wrong).

Joining from Newcastle to newly promoted Fulham you'd have thought he would have such a clause, wouldn't you?

This the same lad who played for Newcastle last year? Because that lad was awful!

Yes it is Matt. He looks much better this time round. Could be he needed time to settle over here.

Could be, and I’ve not watched him since he was at Newcastle. He was truly awful there, although did work hard

Apparently spurs are in for mitrovic but being quoted £50 mill??? I’d be looking to move on Leighton, jags stek, Galloway one of McCarthy or Morgan niasse and cenk and of any takers would have him walcott. Obviously there is others like Pennington, Ramires etc but they would be my main ones. I like the right back at Norwich sign Gomes and hopefully Henry will get his work permit. I’d like to sign Zouma but with Chelsea’s transfer ban I can’t see it. Could holgate step in there? Maybe. Hopefully a couple of brands diamonds will be the others

Said it before and I will say it again, losing Baines and Jags would be absolutely terrible for the squad. There is a lot to be said for having lads with the right character in the club. People talk about the attitudes of Pickford, Richarlison, Walcott, Schneiderlin, Lookman, no one does about these two though. We need that positivity.

How did the defence look against Liverpool with sold man Jags at the back?

I think you’ve misread what I said, if you look back I wrote squad. I don’t expect them to be any more than squad players.

Anyone who works in a team surely understands that having good people makes a huge difference. Finding good people who are happy to sit on the side lines and still be a positive influence day to day is even harder.

I think you've missed Shukes' irony Ste (not helped by the misplaced "s" when he meant old rather than sold). I could be wrong though.

Sorry I didn’t mean it that way, I was agreeing with you.

Just having Jags there as an influence and organiser helped the team in my opinion. Having those two experienced players on the squad and ready to be called upon is important for me.

My commwnt was more of a nod of agreement with you 🙂

I’m used to being shot down for wanting old players to stick around haha sorry mate.

There aren’t enough players of their quality and influence around anymore for me, especially ones who will play second fiddle and not rock the boat.
