Lucas Digne

He seems very reluctant to pass the ball to anyone bar the winger in front of him. He needs to start whipping some early balls into the feet of the striker or an advanced midfield player and then get on his bike rather than lumping a lazy ball forward to the winger. He just looks like a player short on confidence, doing the easy thing rather than the type of play that got him to Bayern and Barca.

Managers tactics are mostly play it safe or the wing. Digne is wasted at the moment.

Lucas got beaten by Ricardo at every attempt.  Not sure what that was about, but if other teams can do the same we'll be in trouble on the left.

He did and he was none existent going forward, which was meant to be the thing he was sent out there to do in his wingback role, but he managed achieve the sum of fuck all in any direction.

Hes looking below par because the whole team is shit.

It's a strange one because before the last 5 or 6 games when the team was looking shite he was a real leader out there and played well for the most part. Maybe he's lost confidence in the manager but something isn't right.

Really don’t think he’s been bad at all. It’s more others haven’t made the most of his play.

The assist business is a shit stay. It’s only an assist if the recipient can put it away.

Has anyone noticed how much Shite fans rate Trent Alexandra? He’s a world beater at the moment. Well Digne isn't far behind with chances created. Yes he’s having a bad season.

All it needs is a forward to put a few away and his assists (which are exactly the same) go up in numbers.

I felt it was a poor decision to play Digne against Man Utd today and was surprised to see him in the starting 11 if I'm honest. Even the mildest of groin injuries can flare up again fairly easily with a bit of an over stretch to block through a ball, etc. Mind you, it was nice to see Baines rolling back the years and pushing forward now and then. Just hope Digne gets rested properly and comes back fully fit and prepared for us.

Naive certainly. Any doubts about Baines being ready should be put to bed though.

One look at the subs bench today should have told you anyone who remembered to bring their shinnies was a guaranteed stater !
