I've used it in Ireland with no problems, but was hit and miss in some of the bars in Munich. The rate used to be better than everywhere but think it's now less competitive than it was. I'd still recommend it even without the better rates as it saves you carrying cash or the hassle of going the beauro (has an app so you can just top up your card with ease), just be wary you might have to nip the cash machine in whatever country you visit. So it’s not tied to any other bank. I was told about it by my brother in law. He hasn’t used it but heard about it. So I’m trying it out.
