Why would we want to develop other's players? This guy is never going to sign with us on a permanent contract, nor will Juventus let him go anytime soon. We need players with future at our club, therefore it's a no from me.

But what if we loaned him for a season, he bags 25 goals, we then finish higher up the league table and are in a position to buy a better quality striker off the back of it?

See Lukaku.

It’s just the norm, I think you can expect that with any youngster. I know Everton have done that for many years. A lot of that would depend how much power you put in the contract.

Reports this morning says that his mother (is she his agent) ?? Has said he wants to go to Inter Milan.

Mino is his agent, think it was his father being quoted.

Inter have their young star striker, they don't need to try and find game time for another.

He certainly looks a prospect.

Certainly appeals to the type of fan who loves a lukaku "beast" type striker.  Maybe this lad is the real deal.... the complete package.

There are a few knocking around who have the pace and power thing going on.... DCL, Origi, the difference is whether they can deliver consistently.

Consistently is the word mate, and in reality all you can do is way up odds and take an educated punt, we got the last 3 wrong in Niasse Sandro and Tosun, but we will have to trust that Brands and Silva can spot what it takes.

I hope he's nothing like Lukaku. I can't take another Lukaku/Gana thread.

😂😂 That would be a dream come true for at least 4 of us who are suffering depression since the Gana threads been closed

Is it still closed?! You wouldn’t know with his name cropping up everywhere...

Ever thought that might be the reason why, open it and we can contain the bollocks in one place instead of polluting other threads. Just a thought 💭

Except that didn't happen at all while it was open.

Ok that’s fine with me I don’t rate him much anyway so not being able to discuss him stops me clashing with the Ganaretts👍😜

No, it makes no difference just like closing the Lukaku thread made no difference

Haha Pal, I'm just waiting for the next controversial thread after Gana leaves at some point. Who's next?

Bound to be Pickford. The psychology for dummies brigade are already at him.

He seems the most likely. It's always someone who is a top performer but isn't perfect.

Its an easy formula. Pick the best, most important, consistent performer that is universally admired and respected. Then set about to argue blind any point to the contrary no matter how ridiculous and uninformed that makes you look.

You must be talking about Digne? I think your find it very hard to find anyone who doesn’t rate him.

Refer to my previous post.

I’ve unlocked it now, but you’ll see that it’ll make no difference and his name will continue to spread through all the other threads anyway

He’s become a fans darling, no one will turn on him anytime soon. Pickford has made a couple of howlers so he is ripe for being the next target.

Or Gomes to have a bad patch and people start saying he’s weak and doesn’t have the mentality.

That’s slanderous.

I believe it will be Walcott if he still gets the opportunity to play, not that I dislike him but I know many do which is fair enough everyone to their own.

But Gana hasn’t gone yet and may not which is going to be interesting when the season starts and his thread is still closed.

Not Pickford he’s made saves others can only dream of he’s got to have been worth 10 or more points last season for the amount of world class saves he made in games we drew or won by the odd goal.

Englands number one ☝️

Walcott has already had plenty of it.

Matt opened the thread, just no one has anything to say in there.

Wouldn’t want a buy back clause in  the contract unless it was silly money which won’t happen. I’d give them first option at market price otherwise we carry the risk and they get the finished article at the fraction of the price.
