He wasn't one of my favourite players while he was here, there's no doubting that he has improved and it makes me think how good he might have become under Carlo. I championed the lad for a long time. Yes he was frustrating but I understood him... he wasn't brave like a Gerrard, he needs a manager to put an arm round him.
