  1. Yep but we’ve been Evertonian’s long enough to know that Allan will stub his toe doing housework and be out for the rest of the season as soon as Doucoure’s back!

Can someone explain to me why it is that when we have a lethal goalscorer with limitations, we focus on the limitations and not play to his strengths? I mean, goals win games, Dom is a brilliant poacher. So set him up to poach. Lukaku was excellent running with the ball on the floor, but we rarely played to his strengths either. Instead we expect these players to do things they're not good at and then complain about them not being able to do it. "Well other top forwards do" - couldn't care less, we don't have them. So how about we play to our strengths? People have said build the team around and make exceptions for James, because of what he creates. Fair enough, but that needs to apply for our strikers too otherwise James can't create as much. Drives me fucking nuts.

Honestly, our issue is that we aren’t creating chances... not that we’re creating shed loads. last ten matches have been dire as far as chances created. Again we’ve been much better when James is playing, but without him we dont seem to be able to create anything of note. It’s been a very frustrating season as we know when our first 11 is on the pitch, we’re a match for anyone. If Lukaku was here this season, he would be leaving in a few months.

Goals from outside the box for strikers this season : Kane - 4 Jiminez - 2 Ihaenacho - 2 Bamford - 2 Everyone else... 1 or 0 It's not as important as you think.

  5. Well I’m assuming Iwobi will be playing in his favoured position, so we should win this at a canter.

  7. What a load of absolute shite. The players, other than Pickford, were woeful. And the manager, well he sent out completely the wrong message when he brought the wet wipe on that is Fabian fucking Delph. Ergh, I hate Everton.

This is the craziness for me. Carlo sees all the players every day at Finch Farm and as a guy who's taken eight teams into the CL he thinks that Delph is a decent option from the bench? While every Evertonian on the planet thinks it's a crap idea (which it turns out to be)? He can't be more stupid than us guys or he'd be getting whatever the Italian version of Universal Credit is wouldn't he? Depressing.

  15. It's pissing me off watching him playing on the half-way line. His close control is pretty shoddy to be honest and him receiving the ball in that area of the pitch is highlighting it to an even bigger degree. He's needing to come deep, though, because our midfield is utter shite and doesn't get any sort of a foothold in the game. They need to step up so he's got the platform to do what he does best, and that's sticking the ball in the back of the net.

Bringing Delph on was criminal. As much as I’m on the fence about Davies, there’s no way he offers less than Delph does.

We've had a lot of crucial injuries lately. The creativity in our squad is awful when James is missing. The squad is desperate for a goal threat and added creativity in midfield. If we get those two things this window and DCL is still doing what he is doing we will have such a dangerous squad and I have no doubt your opinion will change.

That's a bold view. His all round game is very good of a striker his age and it will only get better. One of his main weaknesses is attempts from range and he's got plenty of time to improve in that and he will be well aware of this. He's just scored his 15th goal of the season, only 3 players have more. Let's have a bit of common sense about it. I wonder how many 24 year olds have 28 Premier League goals in the past 2 campaigns.

  19. It would have been nice to have seen us go above the shite tonight but it wasn’t too be, very frustrating but not the end of the world first year for Ancelotti and his rebuilding process, we have made some improvement from last season and 2 or 3 new faces next season will move us further forward, and if Brands and Ancelotti can’t move us forward I have no idea where we go after them, so let’s try and stay positive and believe we are moving in the right direction.

Don’t disagree mate. But as you say, they are exceptions. Im hoping we can have a little consistency now and really push on. Richie is generally going to put a few of those chances away, same with Dom. If we can have a good few chances each match from now until the end of the season.... then we can put in a serious challenge for Europe. But we are Everton haha.

Pure quality a scoring machine doing what he’s paid to do, will we ever see the likes in a blue shirt again I’d like to think so but what a hard act to follow. That was great to watch but equally depressing when you look at us now, making more clear cut chances in games than we have in years yet not having the players with the ability and consistency to slot them home, oh my god if he was in this team he would be easily getting 30 plus a season.

Absolutely loved watching him in a blue shirt. As you said Zoo, that last season, he had the lot! Made it even harder to see him go. That player with Richarlison and James would be electric!

Lukaku's final season where he was pushing to put himself in the shop window was insane, he had absolutely everything and I honestly thought that he was going to go and make himself into a world-class player. He was criminally mismanaged by Manchester United, making him bulk up and hold up the ball rather doing what he was good at and running behind the defensive line turned him into an easy target for fan disapproval. I'm made up with the money we got for him, but there is a part of me that's a little sad he never pushed on after leaving us - though glad that he does seem to have found some form in Milan. While I'm here, enjoy 15 minutes of Romelu tearing it up in a blue shirt.

    Brexit...

I new they were flush with natural resources, I read somewhere that the government pump the revenue they receive back into the country giving the average Norwegian a very good standard of living, and that the natural gas resources are basically given to the people for free for heating ect. The biggest down side is the winter it’s long and cold 🥶

A fair amount of the time yes, but there are exceptions; eighteen shots against Spurs being the obvious one. We also had fifteen against Palace and fourteen v Burnley. Not every shot is a chance admittedly but we did miss good chances in all those games.

    Brexit...

Norway has a very good relationship with the EU with open borders and free trade, not sure about the Swiss but I would guess it’s a good relationship, I think both countries have proven that you can have nearly all the benefits of the block if you are prepared to be realistic with a bit of give and take. We will never see that sort of relationship with the EU whilst we have a conservative government and a leader like Johnson, so as long as things here remain as they are the worse it will get for our industries and economy, the little Englander mentality isn’t the way to try and make deals with anyone, we will only stand a chance of making something out of Brexit with the right people negotiating in a open and friendly manner, backed up by a government who recognise the world is bigger than just our own borders.
