  1. I’m asking the same question because you haven’t answered it. 😂

I asked if it’s fun. I don’t see how the answer can be anything other than yes or no, but you haven’t answered it. You’ve explained why you act like this, but I’ve asked if it’s fun for you. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ooh that would be one level up from deleting posts wouldn't it?

tell you what though - you knock yourself out. Use your powers as you see fit.  It's not lost on most people who will view this thread as to how feathers got ruffled.

Feathers aren’t ruffled. It’s confusion as to why you do this and why you think people gang up on you. My point was that if we were all so against you wouldn’t we just take the easy option and delete? No one gangs up on you like you think. You just pick fights with everyone who disagrees with you and it’s normally a lot of people.

And yet you still can’t answer a basic question that is do you find the way you act in here fun?

If it's not worth it why ask again?! FFS. I stated my thoughts earlier, what do you want a different answer?

of course it's a pack mentality and I've been in it myself. Don't tell me my opinion.

If there was a pack mentality, and the clique you’re so fond of, that’s always against you, why wouldn’t we just delete your account?

Still asking questions? Want a different answer?  I was challenged to find proof - I found it.

    good night Steve

I asked a question if you enjoyed this, which you haven’t answered. It’s a simple yes or no.

You were asked to find proof because you, as usual, were hammering an argument about your current whipping boy and switched to pulling up opinions on other topics.

Well it all depends Steve doesn't it.   My opinions are my opinions - if I find the collective wants to play with me then I'll have some fun. When they wanna start throwing toys out the pram then I'll be more serious.

in short - like I've said I'm gonna take no shit.

    Throwing toys? Seriously!

Again, these retentive arguments where you see the need to pull up someone’s differing opinion from a decade ago, do you find it fun? It’s a closed question.

Newty.... it's a forum. People type their thoughts about a shite football club that they want to do well.

my focus is Everton and I get annoyed at people who tolerate shite, make excuses for shite or even worse pick on easy targets at the club.

there is a pack mentality on here and there is no question of that. Only need to look at this thread.  Go against the common consensus and you are sniggered at.

you ain't gonna get a character read on here on people.   No one would align my posts to me if they knew me.... they would based on who I rate or don't rate but not the tone.  I read some of my posts and think "prick" - but when I'm being a prick it's usually justified.

There isn’t a pack mentality. There are disagreements all over this forum, but when it’s you that someone disagrees with you spend days hammering it home. You think this pack mentality exists, a lot of us have similar views, but it’s you that keeps the argument going. Just pushing it over and over and over.

It’s not even worth it. Christ.

Point scoring opinions? On behave Steve, the whole cliquey bollocks that goes on in the forum is point scoring/receipt keeping and smugness.

people just don't like being proven wrong having gone in heavy.

it's not a popularity competition - debate is fine, opinions differ, but this place is like a snidey shit fest when one or two people differ from the main.  its not about me being right - it's about how or why people choose to object.

only today I was told my opinion on if being the worst season I can remember was wrong?! - how is that possible? It's what I think.

fact is lots of people demonstrate the same behaviours as the people who annoy them, just too hypocritical and lacking of self awareness to see it.

if you don't see this then it's cos you maybe are part of the issue.

I’ll ask again, is this fun for you?

Go and watch the game Mike. Judge of character ffs. It's a forum  we are talking about a topic that's a passion - it's likely to generate division and spikey discussion

im a 20x nicer in real life than my forum persona. I understand how my posts look - the irony is that you don't. I'm sure you are a top person as your family history will tell.

This is the point, Haf. It’s not a discussion. It’s you point scoring your opinions against people to the point of looking up points from over a decade ago about different topics to show how superior you are. That’s not discussion or debate. I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s not jovial, it’s not friendly, it’s fucking hard work even as a spectator. I know for a fact from conversations with other members, it doesn’t encourage more discussion.
Seeing one man constantly trying to point score against every and anyone that disagrees is just exhausting.

The hardest bit to understand, Haf, is that most of your arguments are not even about your opinion. They are not about how you feel about Dyche, Pickford, Lukaku, or whoever else you don’t like, your arguments are just about you being right and everyone else being wrong. But you don’t even see it. Your opinion on the conversation at hand becomes secondary and your constant need to be the correct opinion is overwhelming. I don’t understand it, I can’t empathise or sympathise with it. I’ve avoided discussion with you for a while now as it’s just not a healthy conversation.

Surely we are all here because it’s fun, or are you here because it makes you miserable, what’s fun 🤣 for some may not be for others, so cheer up you miserable sod 😎

I’ve been here for close to 20 years because it’s fun. But some threads end up like this and it really stops being fun. It can feel like a chore coming here, but we’ve put the work in over the years and it’ll continue. But bickering and knit picking over things from 10-15 years ago to try to gain some sort of intellectual point scoring is not fun in my opinion.

You personally, Palfy, will have a disagreement and laugh about it. Me and you have done that so many times, we probably disagree on more things than we agree on. 😂

When old posts about Bill Kenwright are being brought up to try to prove Haf is right about Dyche I just don’t understand it. I don’t see how anyone could enjoy coming here to do that. So when I ask if Haf is enjoying this I genuinely mean it.

It reminds me of when I take my daughter to the soft play centre (like I will I’m about ten minutes) and there is kid pushing all the other kids over and then crying to his Mum when they don’t want to play with him anymore.

Literally what is this argument you're trying to make.

That a manager needs to have every single player, staff member, supporter 100% on their side at all times? That's never going to happen. I bet there are players at City who aren't thrilled with Pep, players at Real who aren't in love with Carlo.

    This whole thing is exhausting.

Joao Canceló hates Pep quite publicly.

Agreed. Chris long who played for us was managed by Dyche at Burnley.... found him difficult and temperamental.

Chris Long says so? Why didn’t you say so sooner!

For fuck sake, one player doesn’t like him. Get a grip.

You know who I find difficult and temperamental? Haf!! 😂

Your acting like I’m against us not having a new stadium you couldn’t be more wrong.

It’s Saturday afternoon, Everton aren’t getting beaten, I can’t be arsed getting into the depths of how badly run the club is. We’ve got a well earned weekend off.

But the bit quoted above; I’m not acting like anything. I’ve not commented on your opinion. I’ve just given mine. I’ve not criticised yours. You may think your opinion sounds like you’re against a new stadium, but I’ve not commented on anything about that.

Without Moshiri I don’t believe the stadium happens, he may not be the name on the loans but the company he owns is. I believe with a poorer owner we get worse interest rates. That’s just my opinion from seeing how it happened in the past.

  13. 1 hour ago, Palfy said:

All they did is loan and borrow the money the debt is still there, as a club we can’t afford the interest on the loans that weren’t interest free from Moshiri, financially it could be our greatest downfall and not our greatest achievement. It could very realistically come down to a new Stadium and a new team playing in it.

So let’s kick off a new thread if we are made bankrupt and the club cease to be, and think of a new name to replace the old.
Steve I love the new stadium but for me it was never as important as the club, and on the basis we definitely where not in a good financial position to start it, without placing the club in such financial troubles that it could be contributing hugely to our downfall we should have moth balled it.
But Moshiri ploughed on even after the Usmanov money was gone, be cause he is reckless with the club and now that he’s dug this big cesspool that he knows he can’t fill in he’s jumping ship.
I think commercially it was the wrong decision to build a new ground and this moment in time, because ot the damage created by those you give credit too.

That is true, they loaned and borrowed the money (billionaires don’t like to use their own money) but then being so wealthy is what has led to us being able to borrow that money. Our previous owner would have struggled to borrow so much, Moshiri has the wealth to guarantee it.

The stadium being built isn’t what has put the club in financial trouble as such, the man pulling the strings has put us in trouble by how the club has been run. Not be building the stadium. It’s the one things he’s got right from start to finish in my opinion.

  14. This idea they don’t reject is nonsense. They are a board to decide a decision one way or another. The outcome is pass or fail, there will be one.

Seems there was a lot of smoke and mirrors with Jim Ratcliffe. From the outside he was signed off in a matter of weeks, but apparently he applied months before and took as long as ours have. So I heard last week (some online news source).
