Well, I'm all renewed and got the Goodison commemorative pack.
The best part of a grand gone. Hoping they get a few more home wins for us to watch next season!
You did it today? After that yesterday?!
I did it too

Yesterday was the first time I’ve taken my Daughter to Goodison. It had me thinking about memories of the place and I thought I’d start a thread about our memories of Goodison Park.
Yesterday I asked a steward on our way into the upper Gwladys to take a photo of us for her first game. He said ok but follow me, and he took us into the lower tier and took a photo of us with the pitch right behind us. He didn’t have to do that, but it made it special. Even though it was crap on the pitch, it’s a memory I’ll never forget.
I don’t remember my first game, but I remember being 2-0 up against Leeds, sat in the Lower Bullens and my Dad shouting at a Leeds fan “2 down against ten men are ya” My Dad isn’t a shouter, doesn’t really get aggressive, so it’s always stood out in my mind.
Digging up the centre spot with my hands after either the Wimbledon or Coventry game, I can’t remember which, and putting handfuls of pitch in my coat pocket. Then when I got home they went in a bowl on my bedroom window. A couple of weeks later it smelt so bad my Mum threw it in the bin.
Beating Arsenal 1-0 with a late Andy Johnson goal in the rain and hail. Beating Arsenal 3-0 with Martinez. I love us beating Arsenal, it’s not personal, but it kind of makes up for all of the dickings we’ve had over the years.
Me and my mate saying at half time against Palace we will get Dele shirts if he comes on and keeps us up. We didn’t get those shirts. Dele kept up his side of the bargain.
The man I’ve sat next to for the last 15+ years telling me a few months ago that he wants to sit next to me when we move to Bramley-Moore. In all these years we’ve never asked each others name, we probably never will, but I’ve hugged him a thousand times. I hope he’s sat next to me when we move too.
For the ladies derby in a few weeks I’ve got tickets for the whole family. We’ll have three generations together at Goodison, hopefully not for the last time. I’m going to buy Everton shirts for everyone though. Got to make these memories while we can.
Quite emotional thinking about the place. I’d love to hear some of your memories, some of you will have many more than me and will have seen some trophies too.

"Behold Goodison Park! No single picture could take in the entire scene the ground presents, it is so magnificently large, for it rivals the greater American baseball pitches. On three sides of the field of play there are tall covered stands, and on the fourth side the ground has been so well banked up with thousands of loads of cinders that a complete view of the game can be had from any portion.
"It appears to be one of the finest and most complete grounds in the kingdom, and it is hoped that the public will liberally support the promoters." The publication 'Out Of Doors', reported in October 1892. -

I don’t know, but maybe Shukes is right put him out on the right wing, where he can whip some decent crosses in and won’t be so much of a danger by losing the ball in dangerous areas, that way we can drop Harrison and but Gomes in the centre of midfield, he’s more capable and doesn’t give the ball away so easily.
I’d do that, but drop McNeil and give Harrison a go on the left.

Doing a great job this lad, when you consider his age and experience. Never shirks, always hustling and about the most composed we have. Bloody hell we’d miss him if he was injured or suspended.
You fucking broke him. Thanks for that!!

100% agree with everything you have said, let’s get them in and try and get some stability through out the club, and most importantly get rid of an owner who doesn’t care anymore and is ladening the club with more debt every day he stays in charge.
And yes I agree with those who think they might be in it too make a quick buck, so what if they stay 2-3 years and turn the club’s finances around, and then sell us for a huge profit to another billionaire that the majority will be happy with, but make no mistake about there intentions to run this club properly on a sound financial basis, the 180 million they have given the club to keep us from administration has proven to me that they are going to make a successful turn around of the club should they get that opportunity. And the esk and other media doom and gloom merchants can stick their scaremongering where the sun don’t shineYep, if they want to make a quick buck then they have to sell the club in a better state than how they find it. It’s very simple really isn’t it?
If there are other buyers waiting then I don’t see how with all the negativity around 777 they haven’t just popped up with a simple statement to make us aware there is an alternative. It would put pressure on the premier league to fail 777 and end the exclusivity agreement. Or are these other potential buyers waiting for us to go into administration and get us on the cheap?

Steve I’ve watched nearly every game this season, and I referred to the stats because they back up what I have been saying, yesterday was another fine example, or did you go with your eye mask on again
Yesterday we missed two good chances in my opinion. The penalty and the McNeil chance. Other than that we created a bunch of half chances. I don’t need to see Xg to think we should have won the game, but I don’t need stats to know that we create fuck all. If we don’t have Tarkys cross field pass, we don’t have anything.

Thought it was a brilliant save personally and quite a good one for the pen too
It was a brilliant save, but I’d much rather he fucking leather the thing into the back of the net.
I thought the penalty was weak.

We don’t trust the premier league to look after PSR and our points deduction, we think they are against us.
But we think the delay in approving our new owners is because they are doing a thorough job of looking into them? The FA and the FSA were both satisfied they had all of the correct information immediately. 777 claimed all parties had everything up front. But the one party who’s been fucking us over all year are doing this one properly?
Ive no issue with 777, if they get the club I’ll judge them after that. Lots of speculation about them, but our current owner is a shadow investor for a man who has been sanctioned by the western world for ties to an illegal war. The one before him was an egomaniac who borrowed money from his dodgy mates to keep hold of the club for as long as he could, so he could call himself “Mr Chairman”.
We aren’t getting a John Moores type of owner ever again. The same reason we got Dyche, because the club was fucked, is why we’re getting some opportunists like 777. They admit they are opportunists too, only buying clubs who are in crisis to try to fix them. If we weren’t in the shit they wouldn’t be looking at us in the first place.
If we don’t get 777 we won’t see the back of Moshiri for another 12 months, if we’re lucky. We are a rudderless ship, we need a captain. ASAP!

Has to score to make it 2-0, if he does I think it’s game over.

Your an Everton member go on the app and see for yourself, it’s got every game that we’ve played this season, it gives you all the stats you need, from shots, shots on target ect, it also gives you the same stats for the opposition.
Go and see the stats? No! Go and watch us play! You don’t need a spreadsheet to understand football, just a pair of eyes.

Don’t create a lot, maybe not so much in the last 6 or so games, but we have been close to the top of the league for chances created this season, some games have been as high as 19 chances. How many do you need before you start converting them on a regular basis, DCL hasn’t scored in 19 not because the lack of opportunities but because of poor execution of his opportunities, and yet without doubt he is still our best forward because of what else he offers the team.
Just a shame he’s not doing the most important bit by putting the ball in the net every now and then.Have you seen us play?
We were close to the top of the chances created table, because a ball into the box counts as a chance. A free kick, a corner, a cross. All chances. Quality chances? Doubt it.
Can anyone who has watched us play football this season say we are a team that creates a lot of chances? Not because the stats say so but because your eyes have seen them?
During this poor run of form Dom is having he’s probably missed about half a dozen good chances, in 20 games! Yes he should have scored, but our service is shite regardless. If he scored half of his good chances his figures would still be poor.
I like the general style of play we have, but the lack of quality in the team is a joke.

As a back up, Beto is absolutely fine. Everyone knows DCL is first choice when fit. We cant afford to buy a striker better than DCL, and any striker of similar quality wont be coming here to sit on the bench.
We've got to be a bit realistic with our expactations.
If you want to see some goals from our strikers, then take a good look at the quality of the players around them, or the lack of. We dont create a lot, they feed on scraps.
Look at when we have Lukaku scoring for fun. He had Mirallas, Deulofeu, Barkley, Coleman, Baines. Put him in this team, he would struggle for goals too.
When DCL was scoring goals he had Richarlison, Sigurdsson, James, Digne, Coleman.
Over the last five years we have sold so much attacking talent and replaced them with lesser quality players. Thats our problem in front of goal. We can all say about the chance DCL had against Villa, but that probably the only real chance and we've seen good players miss one on one before. We need to be more creative.

Well he was/is a free for the first 20 games, then £10m once 20 games player. however, it said the deal could potentially be £40m with other add on, I am guessing one could very well be contract renewal or extension.
I don't imagine we would simply get away with running the contract out and then re sign him.
Dont believe the £40m headlines Rob. For us to end up paying anywhere near that, firstly, Everton would have to be successful, and second, Dele would have to be playing. That money is safe.

If he can get fit I’d have no issue seeing him take a 12 month deal, once the Spurs contract is over.
Apparently if he plays seven more games we have to pay Spurs. We’ve only got 13 games left, I doubt he would be fit in time to play seven games anyway. He’s not even training with the team yet.
I don’t see any scenario where we pay Spurs now.

If I was planning to buy a football club I’d probably contact a journalist. I don’t think I’d be getting in touch with some fella on Twitter.
