  1. give the lad credit for defending himself! well done Jamie
  2. i believe interpol said our techniques in tracking previously questioned terrorists were in the dark ages! i find that almost as worrying as the threat itself!
  3. my biggest priority is a left footed midfield player. ideally a winger/wide player. my second is a left back. i honestly believe we can afford to bring in baines and richardson. im not bothered about a striker, i want to see Vaughan pushed on a bit this season, vic beats and faddy can cover when he needs to be rested. and in honesty im a 451 man, so we have enough cover for me edit ive heard good things about nzogbia. but ive never seen him play so i cant really comment
  4. not for me really, im a season ticket holder. i go the match, between us parking costs £1 each (or nothin if we park in the street sometimes) i get a pint when i get in, and maybe a sausage roll. call that £5. programme £3. then off to the pub after the game with the lads. add a quid or two for fuel. call it £10 i spend before i get to the pub (probably about 6 o'clock) season ticket works out about £25 a match. £35. then a game in the pub. if its a 3 o'clock KO then maybe get there for 2ish. thats about 4 hours earlier than if i go to the game. maybe 3/4 pints an hour at £2.50 (rounded up a few pence) at least £25. throw in some pub food (i got to eat, im a hungry lad!) maybe £6 i'll still have someone pick me up a programme £3. £34 im a sad twat, cant believe i just did that!
  5. i always thought everton did their medicals at fairfield private hospital. modern day hospitals will have running facilities anyway, but then again, modern day training grounds have medical facilities too. im hopefull of richardson, for balance at least. alot of my manc friends have been slagging his contribution and attitude. but im happy to take the risk
  6. all we had for the 90's was the short term option, for me long term is the only option. like ive said previous, id rather spend £6m on a player for maybe 10 years in a blue shirt, than £2m on a player for a few years
  7. imo baines is good enough now, not just for the future! if we got him for £5-6m, and he plays regular football for 5-6 years then i think that will be good value. but we can more realistically have him playing for closer to 10 years (injuries and loss of form aside) quedrue is a quality player, and at £2m its a good price. but id rather solve a problem we've had for a while, on a long term scale, and pay the extra money for it. DM said last year he hopes to add a few higher quality players every summer. with Lescott, Johnson, Cahill, Arteta, Howard. these are players that will not need replacing for maybe 5 years. Baines could be added to that list
  8. im sort of with craccer on the ossie subject. he does have his good games, he does have a nice control on him, and can sometimes pick a good pass. but he is far too inconsistent, he is a useful member of the squad, but imo he is our weakest link in the midfield. if we could get a player with a left foot he would be the first one out of our midfield, and is the easiest to replace. i wont critisise his commitment, and he genuinely is a hard worker, i just think his weaknesses far outweigh his strengths
  9. usefull contribution i see! that rumour will be total rubbish. and moyes wont sell his captain, hes too important to the team
  10. he could also turn out like zola???
  11. he scored something like 8 or 9 in open play for palace in the prem and was it 12 in open play for us? i think he only had one penalty, watford when they were booing him. i hope hes on pens nest season, just to put him further up the scoring charts. id be happy with matty taylor thou!
  12. duncans headers against united for me! not spectacular, but the atmosphere and the feeling we were putting one over on one of the best teams in europe is always a nice one to have!
  13. Well now hes said this im really looking forward to seeing our new improved VDM <_<
  14. i agree with you a lot of the time mate, but cant agree wsith that one. sorry
  15. i think pat may have been the proverbial "pot" calling the kettle black! dont take offence
  16. im a big fan of hibbo, but i think moyes will play jags somewhere. i cant see him shaking yobo or lescott out of CB and i dont know his credentials as a midfielder. so im just assuiming he will play at RB
  17. always had a good performance in the derbys. cant knock him for the commitment, a good squad player. all the best nace
  18. from what we have howard jags yobo lescott valente arteta carsley neville osman cahill aj or howard jags yobo lescott neville arteta cahill carsley osman aj vaughan a left winger is a must thou
  19. i have full confidence lescott can carry that shirt perfectly well. im tempted to get him on my shirt now
  20. the lad has had other offers, even from abroad it had been reported. lets just hope the first team keep improving so the kids wont need to go elsewhere
  21. he is a quality player, just needs a little more time i think
  22. i expect him to be a first teamer. just not sure where. tried looking around the net, i hear he is best at CB, RB, CM. seems usefull by all acounts
  23. haha our long lasting european campaign really put pressure on our small squad! all 4 games! be realistic lads, can anyone genuinely see us signing anymore than 2 more players in pre-season? we arent gunna go out and buy 5 or 6 players! its not realistic, and can also be a big change for the existing group to cope with. team spirit is a major thing at everton, too many changes can rock the boat. glad jags is finally here. not sure where he will play thou! im guessing centre half when yobo is away
