  2. posts from me are very few and far between, but i have to say that evertons form over the last few months has been very impressive. I've seen a lot of posts here commenting on the standard of opposition that they have come up against is not necessarily as high as it could be, but at the end of the day, they are all teams from the premiership. To go on such a run of form against ANY teams is a great achievement. The facts dont lie, five months ago Everton were a side struggling to stay afloat in the premiership and everbody under the sun had written them off. But in true blue style they have fought like dogs and ground out essential results and put themselves in a great position! Its a short list of teams that can come back from the brink and lift their heads up high and say we are challenging the top half of the table for european spots. Fair play to a team that never loses hope and never gives up on their ambitions, there just aint another club in the league that have the belief, courage and commitment that Everton have. Lot o clubs could learn from that. I personally believe that beattie should be ahead of crouch in the england line up (even if he was a knob when i met him, dont make his footballing skills any less). Keep it up boys, your an example to the rest of the premiership and long may it continue! bet ya didnt expect that from a pool fan keep up the good work!
  3. im a red supported meself fella and i agree with some of your points, things about heysel and such. But as already said here, its not fair to label every evertonian supporter in this way. We have our fair share of arseholes who invade this board and post insults just to get a response and there are some evertonians that do it over on liverpool boards but it is the few that give this response. The fact is we are two teams that are almost neighbours in a major city, there is bound to be rivalry between us, its what makes supporting your club more interesting. I mean Arsenal and Tottenham have much the same history, sure we have all seen the timer on one of the gunners pages showing the countdown from when tottenham last won a cup. My best mate is an Everton supporter and we both enjoy giving each other shit but it works so much better in a friendly banter way. Sorry, think i started to ramble a bit there Fact is we both have our idiot supporters but on both sides, we aint all bad
  4. Think he changes his hair daily to distract from that
  5. Was a real shame to see Baros go, he'll be blinding for Villa. Just couldnt get used to watching the lad run with the ball staring at his feet. If he picked his head up once in a while he start scoring for fun. Moro has been a dissapointment so far, we shall see what happens to him by January, either he find his galactico form and be superb or stay shite and be out the door. Still got confidence that Cisse will be good, bit like beattie, still to prove himself but plenty o talent there. BTW not a fan o Beattie in person, met him in Marbella in May this year, looked like he got dressed in the dark
  6. riise just been pure class lately, jesus can that lad hit a ball. Strikers are a problem, both moro and cisse are independant strikers. They would play much better alone. Could see that last night, too many occasions where they could have laid the ball to each other for an easy strike, instead they were going for goal and ballooning it. Think these two could do with a sit down and a chat. Either that or instead of a winger and central defender rafa could buy an interpreter!
  7. Think you are right to say that we do play considerably worse when Gerrard and Alonso are out of the team but then a lot of teams do rely on key players within them. Take Arsenal for instance, without Viera they just dont seem to be the same team! Chelsea are probably one of the only teams in the country that do not rely on two or three individuals to keep them performing, and thats only because they spend ridiculous money getting 8-9 of these players instead Last night was a dissapointing display, strikers are still unable to hit a barn door but i still have hope that they will come good as the season progresses. Good luck tonight lads, be good to see two teams from merseyside in the group stages. Starting to show everyone that the city of Liverpool is the footballig mecca of the modern world
